UK eBay & PaypalGeneral discussions about eBay.co.uk Suspensions and Paypal.co.uk limited accounts. This forum is geared towards UK eBay & Paypal sellers.
Hi guys, I'm a newbie on the forum so really happy to be here!
So I have recently registered for VAT and also become a Limited company and my VAT number shows up in all of my listings for my main and smaller ebay account.
I would also like to have some stealth accounts as well but not sure whether I would be adding my VAT number to these as well or would I not so that my accounts don't get linked?
Thanks!
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
Thanks for your reply, so if I have a stealth account I don't necessarily need to add a my vat number then?

Re: VAT Registered and Stealth - Is it possible?
Recently ebay have become quite strict regarding vat. If projected sales will take you over they will request a vat number, even if you don't plan on going over.
If you keep sales under a certain amount, ebay won't ask for one.
How much would you need to go up to to start thinking i better mover over to another account
I personally don't go over £4k to £5k/month per account. That works out to around £50k/year.
But regardless of how much you sell, the beauty of stealth is diversifying your sales over multiple accounts should one ever get limited. You're missing out otherwise.
No issues going over VAT Limits, but does take some minor work to stop the eBsy VAT registration block.
PRobably is best spreading sales over multiple accounts and staying below the threshold, but if you go above, all is not lost.
I am currently mainly dropshipping from Amazon so it is a real headache getting all the VAT receipts together. I kind of wish I had gone stealth before reaching the threshold now. How do you go about avoiding the VAT registration block?

Thanks for that, how many accounts do you currently have?

Ideally i'd recommend every stealth user to have a few accounts running simultaneously.
But as you get a grasp of things you can use accounts, leave them dormant, come back and use them again. This can help build a bunch of really strong accounts, and you'll have something to fall back on later should you need it.
