UK eBay & PaypalGeneral discussions about eBay.co.uk Suspensions and Paypal.co.uk limited accounts. This forum is geared towards UK eBay & Paypal sellers.
Just had a return request on a moderately expensive item on my private seller account. Buyer is claiming it's because no warranty is supplied from the manufacturer but this wasn't stated anywhere in the listing & I have returns set as not accepted.
The buyer knows how to play the system because they stated the reason as item not as described. This is obviously not the case & eBay are obviously taking the buyers side telling me I have no choice but to accept the return then appeal it which sounds shady to me.
Have they forced my hand here giving me no option but to accept?
I've been stung like this twice before & the buyers sent me back empty boxes so looking to protect myself.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
Keep it professional but when you get the item back, file a police report against them if you get the item other than stated or not in the same condition.
Also file an IC3 report on the internet then forward all the info to ebay/paypal to see if you can recoup your loses.
Keep the buyer aware of all of this but AFTER you get the box / item back.
