| JohnWall | 08-22-2018 07:28 AM | Re: Click and Collect any one had trouble collecting using multiple names Anyone can pick a parcel up with the collection code, just say its a friend or relatives. Might look suspicious if you're picking up for 5+ names though |
Re: Click and Collect any one had trouble collecting using multiple names I dont think they ask for the name... at least i've never been asked.
For the most part, if the code matches, they seem fine with it. |

| bastantey | 08-22-2018 03:13 PM | Re: Click and Collect any one had trouble collecting using multiple names I don't think they will be trained to refuse the parcels in that situation but I'd say depending on the person they may seek some advice from management. You could space the collections to be safe or enlist some help if you need them quickly. |
| spindoctor | 08-22-2018 06:12 PM | Re: Click and Collect any one had trouble collecting using multiple names I collect around 5-10 parcels a day all in different names, never had a problem although I do go a couple of times a day.... I just always state surnames after they ask for the code. Not been asked once why there different names. |
| quizmaniac | 08-23-2018 11:26 AM | Re: Click and Collect any one had trouble collecting using multiple names A few of argos stores around here so i just spread the collections out between them. They usually ask for my name if i dont state it.
Dont think the argos staff care as long as the code matches and its off their hands :). |
| Bradd | 08-23-2018 11:47 AM | Re: Click and Collect any one had trouble collecting using multiple names I was collecting once at Argos ,and a guy in front of me was collecting multiple parcels with different names ,,he couldn't even remember the names ,,he had to look on his phone for names ..The assistant was a bit miffed with him but she still gave him his parcels |
| just_smile | 08-23-2018 11:52 AM | Re: Click and Collect any one had trouble collecting using multiple names Sounds like Spindoctor and Bradd both shop at the same argos! |

Shutl used to offer such service for those who cant make it into store to collect, they dont anymore. |

| fredy | 08-26-2018 04:08 PM | Re: Click and Collect any one had trouble collecting using multiple names Usually i will have a difficulty collecting my parcel if Argos assistant is Indian. I think in India there are a lot scammers and they are very vigilant. I don't know maybe its just with me |

Just kick off a fuss if they refuse to give it to you and site their terms & conditions in which it says just the code is needed. |
| spindoctor | 08-27-2018 04:13 PM | Re: Click and Collect any one had trouble collecting using multiple names I wouldn’t worry about it. I use multiple accounts daily. I’ve picked up 23parcels with 5 different names on Sunday. Not one problem.
I just gave them the codes and the surnames.
If they ever questioned it, I’d simply just state there my business partners. Although never been questioned in the last year that I’ve used click and collect. Quote:

| spindoctor | 08-28-2018 06:11 PM | Re: Click and Collect any one had trouble collecting using multiple names I run about 25 accounts.
I buy a lot of supplies through ebay.
So click and collect is convenient for me, specially with a lot of addresses ;) |
| Pandoras_box | 09-16-2018 04:24 AM | Re: Click and Collect any one had trouble collecting using multiple names It depends on who's attending to you. Once, I bought a microwave oven as a gift. The girl at Argos interrogated me so much I thought it was a high-level job interview.
She rang eBay to say my postcode was afar from the collection store and wanted them to speak to me about it.
eBay CS was a gentleman. He made me confirm the full name, address and mobile phone number ( which I knew by memory)
People are generally friendly but I guess she was having a bad day.
These days, I have spread my collection point across three of the closest stores to me and never use a store more than once a week. |
