I myself prefer to let the limits grow naturally. They should go up on their on son enough.
If youre smooth enough on the phone and you get a bit lucky you can call in but know that every such call involves an amount of risk.

Another option is to use their chat to request a limit. Less risky than a phone call for a stealth account.
30 days after the first sale is about right. I did get a rep to give me an increase after 28 days though after answering a few questions about my inventory and shipping.
I was also told that the 21 day holds would come off after 90 days.

Well I played a bit dumb and asked for the quantity to raise and not the amount as I had sold the 10 items totaling £300 (which is true) they asked what I sold (I said books, but I had a few spare electronics laying around so that is why they are listed) they asked if I got from a supplier (I said yes) and that was that.
I played like an innocent small time seller, I was not rude etc and they passed
