can paypal check your driving licence info now

one ebay and paypal have been limited completely.
my paypal working perfectly untill paypal sent me email asking for id and invoice. i sent them one ( you know what it was), few hrs later ,paypal limited my account quickly.
it seems like paypal can get personal info via driving licence number( or they will get an answer yes or no from DVLA).
any idea ?

Jan, tell us exactly what happened? type of suspension from ebay etc.
Was it ebay & paypal or just paypal

More importantly never heard of paypal doing the actual check. It is SO against UK privacy laws.

just limited by paypal, it was working perfectly, but yesterday paypal asked for ID confirmnation. i sent one driving licence to them,. few hrs later my account limited completely.
i am wondering if they can check your licence from DVLA ? it never happened before.
any ideas ?

yes we need to know if you sent real licence or made up one, it could be either you made ID it badly or they checked somehow. It would be unusual though

that's steath account.
i made one id for them, i checked it, it's ok. it never been found out before.
at first place, only paypal asked for a id confirm, ebay closed me down when paypal limited completely.
i went to DVLA website, it seems like it can be checked somehow

I have'nt even read this thread but there is no way ebay/ Paypal can access sensitive /Personal information from the DVLA .

Just who do you think Paypal are ? .... The law ? The government ?

No , they are a private company who is trying to screw you - the seller , for as much as they can .

Paypal are scum , treat them like it !

they can check with dvla, doubt it, more like you made it badly or left out a bit etc...or they were going to shut you down id or not, somethimes they ask for everything, knowling full well its a closedown situation..
