Default PP add bank error

I have tried to add new bank accounts to 3 separate PP accounts & they all come with the same error;

We're sorry, we couldn't confirm it's you.

I called PP earlier on today & tried via the automated add bank option as well as speaking to a live agent. I was told that it should have triggered a send SMS/call mobile but for some reason it hasn't & to try again in 48hrs.

All 3 accounts already have a Uaccount bank account attached that was verified sometime ago. I am trying to add savers account's (RBS/Halifax) & a current account.

Any ideas?

I'm using a three dongle & resetting to generate a new IP.

It is happening to numerous accounts now, 5+.

Usually something like this happens if...

a) you add a bank too soon after opening it.
b) the bank provided a recycled account number, which has been added to another paypal account previously.

Either it's IP address, or they've blocked the bank.

Had the same problem yesterday mate, told to try again in 72 hours.

I managed to get to the verification screen but it kept rerouting me to the transfer screen after confirming their pin. Then after numerous attempts it said we couldnt verify you.

to check if the bank account previously added, I think he can just try to add a generate bank account number if success
