Yep another one of these.. MC011

Hi Guys

Completely new to this forum and posting as I've been researching into the MC011 lock I received a couple months ago and now attempting to resolve it.

I see there is a quite a bit of uncertainty around the best way to resolve so I will give as much info as I can on my specific scenario and hopefully you guys are kind enough to help me navigate effectively. I've looked through the forums and have a rough idea just wanted to ask some specifics.

The account is my own name and I went from having sold nothing to selling multiple items a day, roughly doing a few thousand in sales a week. Mostly tech items and below market value. I understand this itself can cause issues but I was extremely prompt in posting, responding and assisting with all items I sold.

I sold approximately 100 items with no complaints (all +ve feedback), then suddenly I had 3 separate users claim they received an empty box within the same week. So they received the product box but it was empty. However, I am CERTAIN the product was in there when I shipped it. Still not sure whether these users conspired to attack my account together or the delivery service I used was the culprit.

These 3 cases triggered an MC011. I received the standard email asking for ID, bank statement and invoices for 19 products that I had listed.

ID and bank statement isn't an issue. The issue is invoices for the 19 products I had listed. I have a legit receipt for 2 of the items but looks like I need to create invoices for the others. I spoke to eBay on the phone and I said I don't have receipts for all as I buy some cash in hand and they told me to provide receipts for those that I do have.

I am completely clueless on how to create an invoice that eBay would find acceptable.

Thanks for reading this far. Taking into account the above, my questions are:

- Is this account salvageable? I see some people claim others a lost cause but as it is in my own name I don't see why I can't get it back

- Are invoices easy to ⊗⊗⊗⊗ with eBay and is there a chance they see through them and just straight up say no?

- Do I create one invoice with all 19 items or spread them across 3-4 perhaps with a theme. Laptops in one invoice, headphones in another... that seems more believable to me

- Do I make these myself or just pay someone to do it? I've found EASYSTEALTH as a company with what seems to be a reputable background in creating these, just don't want to make a mistake. I have ZERO knowledge on invoices

- I've seen eBay respond and ask for bank statements to corroborate the payments made in the invoice. Is there a way to get out of this or would this also need to be ⊗⊗⊗⊗d in case they ask for this?

- Thoughts on this: I assume since the MC011 was triggered by these delivery claims, I shoud also add a sincere msg to address this (and other potential causes of MC011). Like how I am a responsible seller, always responded and posted immediately etc and that I believe these false claims were a result of blah blah. The items that were reported I also sold the same items to multiple other clients with +ve feedback received...

- Are there any do's/don'ts in navigating this scenario I should be aware of?

Anything else you guys find relevant to let me know I would appreciate. Thanks again.

Appreciate the response. I'm just worried what constitutes a sufficient invoice? Don't want to make any silly mistakes...

Uhoh... yes. I wasn't at first but it was a lot more flexible with drop off times (and cheaper) so switched to them. I literally wrapped some of them in layers of tape.

Please don't tell me they are notorious for it.

Its depends what items you sell, if its non branded then any decent looking invoice will.work, its really down to your situation, more documents you send them to prove batter chances will be

if delivery is not signed they go to address put parcel at door step take a picture send to database and then take parcel and leave

So true Hermes is a disgrace - staff are thieves, what I used to do was write In paper on a separate label, dear Hermes staff please do not steal

It was going good until this righteous Hermes worker complained about the label and refused to deliver

Royal Mails more expensive but at least it don’t get nicked

It's top branded electronics stuff. Ranging in prices from £50-£2000 per item.

So no idea what a £2000 laptop invoice would look like as I assume that would need to look quite specific.

Do the business on the other end (sellers on the invoice) need to legimate in case eBay goes to check them out? eg on companieshouse etc?

Crazy.

I probably sent around 100 items with them with zero issue then one week 3 in a row. But the strange thing was that I sent one of them from a completely new location as I wasn't in my home city and even that was stolen.

But they were opening the package, taking the item and out and delivering an empty box.

You will have to reach out and search - be careful of scammers though

If you're sending tracked which will also be weighed, it's a bit odd that an empty box that doesn't weigh the stated amount shows up. Maybe hermes are only stealing/messing with untracked, in that case you can stick to tracked or move to royal mail.
