Default Dodgy Customer?

So - customer buys item - I send next day 1st class signed for

Royal Mail tracking shows delivered 2 days late with customers surname (bear in mind Royal Mail does not collect signatures during covid situation)

Customer opens a case saying INR and wants replacement or money back

Customer states it is not his signature and he has definitely not received item

Case due to be elevated to customer services this week

From your experience what is likely outcome?

It will be closed without refund to buyer as long as showing on royalmail site delivered makesure you add tracking no on case

Nothing to worry

In my experience, I have never lost a case as a seller on ebay when tracking shows delivered, it doesnt even need a signature if its under a certain value to be proof of delivery, you have tracking and signature. So you should have the case closed in your favour real quick. Thats why we have tracking, otherwise whats the use.

not if he files chargeback with cc issuer,he could win,not sure if Paypal will eat the loss under its seller protection program

It's managed payments - if Ebay find for me and they processed payment they will resist chargeback I presume

if it is MP,then Ebay will notify you that a chargeback has been filed and ask you to submit proof that you have shipped and item was delivered with tracking,Ayden should submit what you sent to his cc issuer and his cc issuer decides the outcome.
Sometimes I wonder if Ayden knows much about Ebay, the rough and tumble world of a global fleamarket,Paypal knows and knows it well but Ayden has no prior experience dealing with such a huge marketplace?
Is the reason why Ebay switch to Ayden instead of Paypal based on profit,as Ebay is no longer growing,?

That is true, you notice I said I have never lost a case on *EBAY*, when I have tracking.

But no so much on Amazon, I had a INR case years ago when I was selling on Amazon, tracking showed item signed for and delivered, Amazon refunded anyway, I decided to pack in Amazon at that point and will never sign up again with them, I mean thats just criminal how Amazon treats its sellers.

Now as far as Paypal goes, I have had a couple of cases go through PP (not related to INR) but other reasons, I provided tracking to them , and the case went in my favour.
