uk banks are not opening business accounts except 1

Except Barclays , one cant seems to open a new business account in the UK
not to flash on internet banks which does not have human interaction but online chat / email support

even one tries to open business account with barclays and are not existing client, the chances are a ''refusal ''

on the other hand Brexit is forcing banks to close current accounts for Europe-based customers because they fail to negotiate a passporting system for financial services.

was going to say i opened an anna account for a personal business which is deemed 'high risk' due to pandemic yesterday tbf but guess thats online and op refers to original banks high street

It is very easy to open a UK business account and I haven't even used Barclays! Somethings wrong with your application technique. (although I suspect this is more of an anti-brexit rant)

you can open starling bank business acc through app if you specifically need that

I haven't stepped inside a bank in a decade, seriously. Everything is now done online.

from my experience you can get a business account as long as you can be accepted as a personal account customer. if you just apply without being a customer then at least this is going to reduce your chances. anna etc. is not that bad but it is not bank and is unstable comparing to a real high street bank
