Established eBay Business - 2004

Hi,

I need some advice,

I have been speaking to a guy who is selling his eBay business which his been running since 2004, the business comes with stock the account etc the account was created in 2004 and has around 36k feedback - he wants 15k for the whole business.

The down fall is his not been selling on the account since 2018 purely because he has started another business.

Now my concern here is my actual name is banned on eBay I was thinking is there a away around it? His willing to leave his name on the account and said you can slowly start selling and slowly change over the details ?

His giving the stock and the ebay account not the PayPal?

My concern is paying all this money and the account just gets blocked,

It's a old account and his saying his never had issues with the account

The limits on the account are over 22 million monthly allowance

All your advice is much appreciated want to nuckle this down as it's a lot of money to gamble

My plan is to stick to selling what he was selling on the account as his also giving supplier details.

The account has sold a lot of items, on a daily basis at peak he was doing around 300 items a day and around 10k-20k a month.

playing devil advocate,if this is a profitable business and he still have stock on hands,why does he not keep selling himself,or get someone to do it for him.
Did yo check if what he has in stock is dated,or just no longer in demand?
if you think it is a viable business but afraid the account get banned and yu lose 15K,how about an installment payment,try 3 months,give him a down payment and go from there,you dont have to takethe whole Enchillada in one big swoop

also,he is not selling his Paypal account,so you would face MP some day.can you handle that?

Hi

He goes it has 2 employees but has other businesses to take care of, he does seem genuine and is saying you can come down and see the stock.

Literally my only worry is the account getting blocked.

His not been selling for 2 years so I'll need to make my own PayPal along as the account goes in my name and they dont block it MP shouldn't be a issue ?

I was thinking do it slow myself but how would I go about that? I doubt he will give up to stock and account unless I pay the full amount?

My main concern is the account not getting blocked

Seems like a worthwhile investment for 15k. Better than crypto or some other BS that everyone keeps telling people to put money into.

If you don't buy it do you mind forwarding the details on to me, i'm interested.

It definitely won't be.

As long as you are selling well, customers are happy, ebay are making money they will let you stay.

I have never fully 100% stealthed since day one, it's always been a variation of stealth, breaking lots of rules on the way. And now it's full on legit at the MP stage ... and guess what ? i haven't been banned and all is well. The only issue I have ever had is passing that dreaded 2.5k EU limit on paypals where I have had to scrap both the paypal and ebays to start again. But on ebays side it's been flawless.

I would go for it. 15k is easily wasted in many other ways. This sounds like a good business if he is providing his suppliers and basically telling you how much he has been selling etc.

Have to agree - My only concern would be the Paypal account and then MP

So you guys think me being previously banned isnt a issue ?

How would you guys go about slowly changing over the info?

Also I dont see MP being a issue as long as my names on the account or am i wrong? Ill have to make a new paypal

Plus his not trading on it since 2018 the account has good feedback, made in 2004 - 41 feedback revisions so on

So guys how would you do the whole process ?
