Default Found eBay account from 2004-2005!

SO I 've just found an old eBAy account that I totally forgot about ..

I'm definitely going to be selling on it soon. I've had my most success on eBay using an older account. So I think I should be good to go.

Although the quesiton is, should I sell right away? or should I buy something first?

ANy one have any experience on this? i've personally done fine on a previous older account just selling. But it's been about a year so i'd like to know what is the best way to approach this as this account is very valuable to me.

thnx

Only thing 'good' about that account is you found it.

These old accounts run the risk of being flagged like new accounts.

In some cases ebay regard them with distrust.

My advice is to go slowly. Have all your info in hand, make sure you have a payment method on file. Have an active phone number as well. Do not rush to sell.

As a matter of interest, did you try SEARCH before you posted? The topic has been mentioned lots. But if you did use search & not find any other posts I guess we'll need to tweek some settings.

Thanks GB,

another question, I've just realized that i no longer know the Pay-Pal password associated with the eBay account. I've attempted to reset it but out of the two security questions I only know one of the answers... Hence I will have to create a new Pay-Pal which I can do with the help of eBay Stealth..

Will this make any difference? would the account be stronger if linked to the original Pay-Pal? or does it have no significance.

GB,

I have an US ebay account that i set up prior to Nov 2007 and that account was never been used due to 1 neg feedback which was left by a seller ( sayin that i messin around n did not pay for item n etc. If i try log back on to this old account.. do u think is advisable to sell slow n use a merchant account for pyt method as i am too stress out with P/pal :(((

@pearldoreee - operate it slow and build value - 1 neg from so longer ago will not kill you - what is IMPORTANT is to build it from now like a new account, slow activity then building to sales.

I always get call to verify on account that have sat inactive for awhile. If you do register a spare one, list a few items to sell and sell a few before you let it sit.
