2005 account - way forward

I have a December 2005 account that I have recently been able to get reinstated. The credit card has expired and there is no Paypal attached.

What is the best way forward with this account?

Because it is pre 07 does it need Paypal to sell?

The old Paypal in the details of the account is no good and obviously if I make a new one in those details I could mess up a good account.

Anyone have any advise or experience?

The first thing you should do is sell it to me immediatley I joke I joke.

What was the reason for reinstatement?

Do you not have the paypal originally attached then?

Wouldnt do anything drastic with it thats for sure go slow whatever you do.

Im not sure about the paypal thing, thats what people say but im not 100% you can cut paypal out completely...

Unfortunately it does.

The pre 07/merchant account is only applicable in the US (Maybe canada too, not sure)

In the UK, to sell on eBay, whether your accounts 2 days or 15 years old, you have to accept PayPal.

And buyers wouldn't have it any another way.

Was the reinstatement due to unpaid fee's ?

i have been in this situation with 2 pre 07 accounts in the last 6 months and both are running very strong

The account originally got suspended because of naughty goings on but I did an Enid Blyton job on it and they agreed to reinstate. I cannot remember which PP account was on it or anything about it and there is nothing in the Ebay info about it.

Just have to keep mulling this one over

Well - for starters - I might venture on to pa yp al.co.u k and type in the e-mail of the eb account and see "Forgot your password?" - see if anything comes up.

Do this on a separate user account, IP, etc to avoid linkage with current accounts.

Then report back and we go from there...
