UK eBay & PaypalGeneral discussions about eBay.co.uk Suspensions and Paypal.co.uk limited accounts. This forum is geared towards UK eBay & Paypal sellers.
I wonder if anyone can shed any light on this please :
1. I recently received some MC019's for vero items followed by an MC198 7 day selling restriction.
2. My sister also has an eBay account. I am presuming it is linked to mine because of the following : We share the same surname (although we have DIFFERENT addresses) and we share the same PC at her house. Our IP's and Cookies are certainly the same (we even use the same ebay password) and we often gift each other money between our PP accounts. She has only sold a couple of items before.
3. I am in the middle of my selling restriction at the moment but my sister has just put an item for sale on her account (not related to my items at all) and it is up there as an auction with BIN listing with no problems!
Just wondered if anyone can explain this - I assumed that because our accounts were linked (due to using the same PC) that the restriction would also apply to her?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
Not necessarily...Good thing that the item she is selling is not related to what you are selling. You will have to be very careful now not to get both accounts permanently suspended. I suggest you both create separate Stealth accounts which can not be linked to each other and start building them slowly up.
You have to let your suspended account cool off for some time now selling...that is if you want to keep them. You are just a step away from losing them both.

agreed, sell no more vero on that account for 3 months... you can use linked account but try and be as careful as possible, if you get a vero takedown, same drill...
All good advice folks! The problem I have is this, the stuff I want to start selling on the restricted account (when the selling restriction is lifted) is NOT vero HOWEVER I know that if a competitor complains about it (and says it is copyright or similar) then eBay will automatically take the listing down (won't they???)
do you mean the item has no brand or rights owner or do you mean they are branded but
are genuine and therefore cannot be taken down for that.
If it is the first, then a competitor cannot take you down as there is no issue, if it is the second, you are less vunerable if goods are genuine but you can still get takedowns, Ive had many takedowns on genuine goods, it is then up to you to prove that goods are not breaching
Well... i actually have 4 ebay account sharing the same address and IP + cookies. The only difference between them is the IP address, i changed them after registration.
Been selling the same product on those accounts since March 09 and 3 of those accounts has taken heavy vero hits yet they are all still up and running after cool down period.
