| Just done a bit of reading. It seems that the issue is MP check that every passport number/driving license number is real and belongs to a real person. As they are not a government entity, they cannot see who exactly the passport/driving license number belongs to, just that it exists and not made up.
Does that sound right?
And attempting to use someone else's passport number/driving license number is fraud and we cannot do that.
How does the linking of the bank accounts work? Is it still business as usual? That is, name on bank doesn't need to match eBay name because they cannot see the account name. Or have they found some way to see the account name of people they are depositing funds to? |
