somerandomperson | 06-09-2022 03:24 PM | eBay keeping my money after 6 months - now what? Hello everyone. I was a seller on eBay before my account got suspended last November. Presumably this was because as I was underage (17) I provided a photo of my passport with the date edited so it looked like I was 18. It seems they caught onto this and suspended my account and when I contacted them about it they told me they would hold the money for up to 70 days. 6 months pass and still nothing. So after I contact an agent for help about it this is what I receive:
"After further review of your account, we've determined that the inability to verify your information poses too great a risk to the eBay community. Due to these concerns, any funds not already paid out will be retained by eBay as required by law. If you consider we have not resolved your complaint to your satisfaction, you may contact the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier, 283 route d’Arlon, 1150 Luxembourg, which is the competent authority to receive out-of-court complaints by customers of payment service providers authorised in Luxembourg."
Honestly it may have been a small mistake on my part but surely I am owed the money? Is there still anything I can do to get it back as they've instructed or am I done for? Thanks in advance. |
