Multiple "Periodic Performance Reviews"

I have a account that has gone in to it's third periodic performance review within weeks.

First instance, they wanted valid tracking numbers even though all the tracking was fine. Spoke to trust & safety they agreed told me to write to a specific dept which they gave the link for I did and account went back to normal with a email saying dispatch on time and you won't have any problems WHICH I ALREADY WAS ! - generic text book response by the looks of it.

Second instance, tried to initiate a payout early it went in to review again. Payouts automatically released after 5 days with no message or anything.

Third instance, just went in to review again for absolutely no reason what so ever and I am waiting for an outcome now.

Any one else have this many performance reviews ? This just proves once again why having many accounts is crucial when dealing with the likes of ebay, one shop goes down you can rely on another.

I just made the same post? This is my 2nd review? In a few days. I think its waiting to send package last day or using other shiping than buyer selected. Or postal codes mismatch from seller home address and where the package gets shipped from?? Have u done any of these things..i have and thats why i think it keeps getting review

Re: Multiple "Periodic Performance Reviews"

There is something triggering the reviews, possibly the value, volume or the amount sold per item and if they are on the list of items that attract high sales, such as apple air pods.

I would recommend you set the account for daily payments also.

Branded item - seems quite popular as a battery...

Can you think of the item that may have sold at the time of the review? Are you selling any dewalt ryobi milwaukee branded items or similar 🤔??

Re: Multiple "Periodic Performance Reviews"

such reviews are directly connected to the total turnover , size of withdrawals and relation of previous selling history to current selling history

if reviews occur multiple times it is better to bring down the turnover for a while and then increase it slowly

Well the accounts come out of the review - big relief ! Hope it doesn't happen again as it's really inconvenient.

And yes it would have no doubt been a spike in sales. But again I can't control this ... I want to sell ! I just don't want to get suspended. Three times now I've been put in to review and back out of it. This account keeps triggering their bots.

My account just went into a second review in just 10 days. I think it was a spike in sales. How long did the review take for the funds to get released.
Im really worried as this is my real account.

I Dont think anybody can begin to imagine the amount of reviews and holds i was having on my main account. I used to be on review WITHIN a damn review back to back.

By the time i left that account, i reckon i was having reviews every 5 days within the month and even the reps just gave up, back office couldnt do anything as well as they cant do anything to the system

Thats when i realised there is a difference between having Cash and CASH FLOW!!. You could pay me 1p and Ebay would put it on hold.

Re: Multiple "Periodic Performance Reviews"

I realised why I'm having reviews as it happened again. Expensive items I dispatch the same day with next day post and tracking and cheap items I send second class without tracking but I put in a made up reference number on those. It's causing havoc to eBay's system.

Can we agree on a safe start amount in sales first 90 days???

Re: Multiple "Periodic Performance Reviews"

This happened to me as well so i guess account age has nothing to do with volume spikes

Re: Multiple "Periodic Performance Reviews"

My last account had got two reviews in the same month. Started around the 30 day mark. Only lasted for about 2 months in time, and ended with a suspension. I'm not sure if it's because the system knows there is a underlying problem, or what. For me personally I pushed $1,500+ then $2000 the following month.

On my newest account I have already sold $1000+ without problems. I would have liked to sell less to manage risk but every time I remove vacation I get sales fairly quickly. This time though I have only listed what I know will sell as opposed to make a listing and maybe 1 out of 20 of those makes a sale. It's a number a game so I usually have listed as many product as possible, but then try to manage sales amount. I think when the system checks the account its the listings quantity that poses a risk, and maybe is why reviews are triggered quicker.

Every situation is different but I think listing a lot of items even if they aren't selling immediately is not good. Because if you have a few that do sell quickly the system will look at your account and think those others could maybe do the same? Therefore the risk really is there in theory, which warrants a review, which prompts the periodic review. Probably common sense, and thinking back I always practiced this, but lately I haven't and have only faced problems. Less is more, and more is ok if less listings are on eBay. Slow and steady.

Re: Multiple "Periodic Performance Reviews"

a second review means the volume should be brought down and performance should be improved , especially the volume

multiple reviews alone means that the account is already red flagged

degsey69 08-13-2023 03:37 PM

Re: Multiple "Periodic Performance Reviews"

Late shipping and delivery of orders always flags reviews, if constantly done then multiple reviews and suspension.

There is no preset amount that is safe

I stick to $1000 the first month then increase by 50% monthly. Month 4 and onwards you can increase the speed that you sell at - its not an exact science though
