I wasn't commenting on that, I said you don't need to have those, there are workarounds..thought that was pretty clear tbh considering I'd mentioned it before.

no, it wasn't clear. If ebay say they want details of your Limited Company incorporation and to register for VAT they you have to provide them.

There is no workaround as you earlier claimed.

There certainly is, you just don't know it, and I do and have utilised it. No I won't tell you and no I don't need you to believe me, tis all good. :)

It might’ve worked for you, but it didn’t for me.

While it’s technically possible to tamper with incorrect company info, it doesn’t hold up for long.

I originally started as a private seller, but eBay eventually forced me to switch to a business account. In the end, they demanded a registered Ltd company and VAT IDs—which I never had.

They gave me 7 days to provide those details, and at that point, I just gave up.

I'm not sure what the problem is ... if you're business is doing really well that's exactly what you should do. Go LTD and become VAT registered. That's the dream isn't it !?

you could start by telling the truth as ebay never force anyone to switch to an LTD company and they would only demand articles etc, if the account is already registered to a company

Then you didn't know how to circumvent it, like I did. That's all, and four years on, and doing it multiple times, on multiple accounts, all goes well. You 'dont need to tamper with incorrect company info' either.

Re: VAT in UK

1. Yes, the name on your eBay account should match the name registered with your VAT registration. This is what eBay is asking you to confirm.

2. Using Ireland as the location for items located in the UK on "stealth" accounts is risky. It is misleading to buyers and violates eBay's policies. You should use the correct location.

Yes, you should use the correct, UK-based shipping service, matching the item's actual location. Misrepresenting shipping locations or services can lead to account suspension.
