Default List of Uk bank accounts, MAC addresses.

I got MC183 email a couple of days ago and have had 4 accounts suspended. Out of the 4 acounts i know they linked 3 using either ip addresses or cookies as i never used to change ip address or remove cookies when logging in to these accounts as i didnt bother cause they were all linked to the same paypal account.

Now the 4th one was not linked to the same paypal account and was only used for buying and when i did log in to this account i used to remove cookies change ip addresses, im unsure how they linked me to that.
Im coming to think it may due to flash cookies as when i removed cookies i only used the firefox browswer remove utility and not any other cleaner such as ccleaner or anything like that.

I wanted to know if people knew of any uk banks which you can apply for accounts directly online, any type of account eg current, which will work with paypal verfication? and send ID, if needed, via post to the banks to get the account up and running rather than having to go into a branch?

i also wanted to know if anyone has any information regarding ebay tracking users via thier MAC addresses?

Hi, a number of banks offer online applications.....

Abbey, Natwest, RBS, Ulster, Halifax, BOS to name a few. As long as you are on the electoral role you shouldn't have to send in ID.

As far as we know Ebay don't track mac addresses.

No but too many seraches can hit your credit score....

So depending on your current credit health you may get declined on the 2nd or 3rd application. If this happens switch to applying for basic accounts as these aren't typically credit scored.

ok thanks.

One more question, after ive verified, lifted limits on my paypal, i will start to sell using my new eBay Stealth account. can you give me rough idea of how many items to list when starting off? item prices are about £30 -£60.

I dont want to start listing loads of items as i did this on a few of my past stealth accounts and as soon as i recieved payment of £50+ from buyers my paypal was limited.

so how much do you think i should list at first?

I would start off with some smaller items, get past the 20 DSR point then start listing your main items after 30 days.

You need to look for accounts that accept the Direct Debit mandate, savings accounts should not be used.

Read Captain Jack's post#2. He mentions suitable banks.

Now instead of going to x3 banks in one hit, pick x2 banks and open accounts with them. RBS allow multiple accounts after you have joined them. Go with their key account. Check which other banks let you do the same. (if I get a chance I'll look for you & post here)

Don't rush. Plan well then beat ebay/paypal Feel free to pm me if you have any questions
