Default second browser info needed

I have signed up to a cashback site that advises I delete cookies before using the site. This would mean of course that eBay would no longer recognise my computer. I use Mozilla Firefox with ebay. Am i right in saying that if i use another browser (for example Opera) this second browser saves its own cookies?
this is the advice they give:
Tracking your purchases and reporting back to Quanti is achieved by using cookies. Please note that if tracking cookies from other sites already exist in your browser, your purchases may be attributed to them and not to Quanti hence your commission will be passed onto them, rather than into your Quanti account. It is wise to clear your cookies before making purchases to maximise chance of correct tracking. If you do not want to clear your cookies, which may affect your usual internet activity, we recommend using a separate browser.

I know the quote seems to answer my question but I have found nothing is straight forward in the computer world.

If you want to stay with Mozilla the easiest method would be to create a new Windows User account which will give you anew set of cookies.

Start/ Control Panel/ User accounts..create new admin account.

Use your new user account for the cashback site.

I did as you suggested and it works fine. However i realised i needed to change the price of a BIN and ebay did not recognise my computer and wanted to send me a new pin number. I chose not to amend my auction deciding to do it with my old user account. But again ebay did not recognise my computer, is this normal?

I did a virus scan this morning and wondered if AVG had removed my ebay cookies?

Depends on what version of AVG you are running. Is it the free version?
