Discrepencies in registration - suspended

I just received this e-mail from ebay after I faxed them my documentations:


Hello,

Thanks for sending us the information we requested for your account
"blah blah blah". I'm here to discuss this with you.

I've checked your account and can see it was suspended due to several
discrepancies in your registration information.

If we suspend an account in these circumstances, it's covered in the
eBay User Agreement under the heading 'Abusing eBay'. You can read the
entire User Agreement by opening a new window on your browser and
copying this link into it:

Due to the severe nature of the policy breaches on your account, your
account cannot be considered for reinstatement.

(I remember ages ago getting this discrepency e-mail, because I had changed information in my ebay registration, so fair enough... but with this new ebay account, I had not changed anything, so what on earth are they speaking about...!!)


my ebay registration information was the same as to what I had faxed them so that my account can get reinstated... I have not got the faintest idea as to what the discrepency would have been...? Is this just another one of their excuses...?

What was the original suspension notice?
What had you done with the account? How old was it? Give more details so we can try to work out matters.

I have just spoken to ebay through live chat. they told me they could not "verify" the documents I sent to them...

I guess it does not always pay to make ⊗⊗⊗⊗ **'s

Now what happens now...? It has been indefinately suspended.

However, My verified paypal account which was linked to it, is still working perfectly and is up and running...

now I need to make a whole new virtual address, and when this does happen again, Im going to have to give them my real ID.


p.s.

Do they flag names? I ask this because I need to know how I can change my name around on this ebay account, but it will be hard when they ask for ID, (and do they store ID's which are sent in on their system/database?)

The discrepancy is that they know you are using false info....

so these were stealth details? you must have sent them a bad looking ID. Did it look badly done?

why would you give your real name?

You just need to make another non-linked account in different details.

I just received this suspension too, luckily I'm using a friends details so should be able to get the required documents however I was just wondering what would trigger this because besides asking some sellers questions about their items I haven't done anything on the account.
