Cant get verified on PP, advice please

Hi everyone

so i have finally got my new visa debit through from Natwest, and went straight to pp to enter my details

all seem to be fine except the last part the "Confirm information" section

i enter my new Visa card details, card num, expiry and back of card number but i get this message everytime :

"This credit card has been refused by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was refused, please contact your credit card issuer's Customer Service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card."


now my "new" name has already been entered as default and so has my new address. Is it not working cos my correct name and billing address dont match with what the card was joined with?

also i havnt activated the card yet, as i have to send a slip back or pop into my branch, could this be a problem?

You answered your own question. paypal need an active card. When they 'read' the info it says the card will be declined etc etc.

If you had activated with the bank (that's for authorization etc) first, it should have worked for paypal when you tried to add its info.

Used to be you could wait 24 hours, then try the card again. It's no guarantee this still works. You could try that. Or use this debit card when it is activated, to fund an entropay vcc. Then use entropay to attach to paypal. paypal already tells you that a different card can be used. Your stleath info is already there

thanks for that, so best bet is to just leave it till i can get it activated in the bank

and re add it?
