Default Paypal limited, nearly got through it !!

Hi Guys,

i have a limited paypal account because of failed phone verification when i hit the EU money laundering regs in the begining of march.

paypal then stated that they would send a letter with a 6 digit verification code to my address ( which of course was a stealth address).

it is now 4 1/2 months down the line, and could do with the £950 that they are holding lol. so thought i would give them a call and inform them that the letter never arrived and that i have since moved to a new address.

to my amazement the nice man at paypal said he would change the higher limitation to a lower limitation and all i have to do is upload a document with my new address.

as the name on the stealth account is well... stealth, i had to get creative on an energy bill.

however i have made a mistake. the name on my paypal account is a shorter name than the full name on the energy bill. and i have had an email from them now asking for photo id.

here is the dilema....

i logged into the paypal account and went to the resolution centre, and next to proof of address it says 'information recieved- not accepted please check email from paypal for further details'.

however below there is a button that says resolve with no text next to it and when i click it it says...

"ValidPhoto ID, for example one of the following documents:
•Utility Bill
•Valid Residence Certificate
•Valid Bank Account or Card Statement"

none of those listed are photo id ? so what do i do is the question. any help would be much appriciated.

try one from their list as they are MUCH easier to do, then see what happens from there, you may get waved through, and if you dont say well i submitted what you wanted, and that may be enough, if its a no then its the ID next to be sorted.

Its not something you can really talk about on open forum , so edit your posts a little maybe. DL is bit easier..

I cannot say what your chances are, depends on the mood of the monkey err sorry paypal employee.

If stuff submitted isnt neat, they may reject it.

Just withdraw to bank at 180 day mark, keep an eye on your e-mail.

4 1/2 months down the line - I would have just waited for 6 months to go through rather than dealing with Paypal runaround at this time.

yea im not sure when the end of the 6 months is though for this reason....

i recieved to emails regarding limitation the first at the begining of feb stating that my account has been limited.

the second i recieved at the end of march stating the same but also included that i still havent supplied the information that they requested.

when i originally logged in it said Account Limited 3rd February.

it now says Account Limited 30th March. will i be able to draw on the money next week or am i still a couple of months away.

(both emails have the same case id and routing code)

also i havent recieved any payments since the end of jan so there can be no chargebacks as the 180days for those is up.

So answer the question. Account still now continued to be limited or closed? And what does closed mean, you can recycle information into new account??

You can never recycle old info into new account - it might work for a while, but you'll be shut down sooner or later...likely with 180 day limitation again.

If the account is closed, you can start fresh. True or False???

That was my question.

You can start fresh but with new info, new ip, etc. Closed means that whatever you have used in the past is no longer usable. Now what I am saying holds for accounts that get limited THEN get shut down.

If you close it by yourself without issues, well, then I don't see problems.
