Entropay - no longer valid for ebay registration verification
 

Hello,

I have been using entropay (UK) for verification for over a year for new
stealth ebay accounts.

I have tried to use entropay since yesterday but ebay is saying the
card cannot be authorised. i have loaded several new cards and I am
getting the same message, each card has £5.00+ on.

Has anyone else having ebay (only) verification problems with VCC
entropay since today 25aug 10 ???

Dont know how you say you've been doing that for over a year. VCC have not been working for ebay for over a year.

Should you use entropay, it's still working to do it by attaching it to paypal and then verifying ebay that way.(Or it did Sunday night UK time):pop2:

If by 'verification' you mean, creating and registering a seller acccount, then yes I have succesfully created an ebay seller account with entropay on the 21st of August 2010. and it worked fine.
Dont know what would have happened in 4 days time :P

what you taking about i going to use entropay is working o not?

just tried entropay for amazon and it did not work for me. not sure about ebay...

i just tried to open a seller account and listing my first item loaded an entropay card. the error message is that i need to add a card that has a visa logo on it.. what can i do help please

Speak to one of the forum sellers for an eb ay VCC - I am assuming you meant eb ay. For Am az on, ent rop ay will not work.

Entropay still works, and will probably keep working for long time, but you need to have a European IP (I can confirm UK IP works).
The reason it works is that it has the same Bank identifier as a the Bank of Valletta (in Malta) visa cards, so paypal cannot tell the difference and cannot just refuse it.....
If refused it will violate the Visa rules, and even paypal cannot get away with something like this!! Visa is probably a bigger fish, and their rules state that merchants cannot refuse to complete a purchase transaction of an authorised card.

Entropay will be refused, if you are doing something wrong and paypal can trace you and link you to an active or limited account via IP, cookies, personal details etc. the same can happen with a normal plastic card. Once the card is refused it cannot be used again with paypal, you will need another card, and of course make sure you prevent the linking this time.

Another possible cause could be that Entropay servers had a temporary problem. I have used an Entropay card today and worked fine!!

hi iwill use another card tomorrow and check to see what happens because i encountered problems yesterday and the main card used to purchase entropay cards is not on the paypal system at all and is not linked to any suspended account.

how you create the card does not matter at all!
All that matters is bellow:
1. new, clean VCC (not used before)
2. Clean UK IP (other EU IP's may also work)
3. Clean Computer
4. Clean details (phone , address etc)

The above also ensure a good start of a stealth paypal account!

I verified my e-bay account for a week ago with Entropay card,
also paid for some items with the same card for about 2 weeks ago
