UK eBay & PaypalGeneral discussions about eBay.co.uk Suspensions and Paypal.co.uk limited accounts. This forum is geared towards UK eBay & Paypal sellers.
I've just logged into my new sellers account with my old suspended ip
I noticed after I checked my O2 dongle connection manager and it connected me to my home network rather than the O2 network it's self.
I've now logged out of my new account and rebooted the router to give me a new ip address.
Will I be suspended?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
Logging in with the same IP doesn't 100% mean you will be suspended. I know first hand. IPs are just one thing on a list of things that can link you. IPs can be re-assigned to different folks all the time.
If you only done it once it should not be an issue, IP address get recycled all the time. Keep going the way you were but don't let your paypal account balance build up too much just in case both ebay and paypal get limited.
Thank you, I was thinking that, I do have a high value item currently on for sale, ends in a few days, It should not be an issue hopefully, I've been printing off postage labels and paypal has been releasing the payments.
Update: Paypal has now limited my account and has asked me to confirm my card by charging £1 to it and confirming the number on my statement.
Yet no E-mail telling me I was limited normally I get an email.
Update I got this message when logging into paypal.
We recently reviewed your account, and we need more information about your business to allow us to provide uninterrupted service. Until we can collect this information, your access to sensitive account features will be limited. We would like to restore your access as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience.
Why is my account access limited?
Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s):
2 Oct 2010: Our system detected unusual charges to a credit card linked to your PayPal account.
(Your case ID for this reason is ***************.)
How can I get my account access restored?
Please visit the Resolution Centre and complete the "Steps to Remove Limitations."
Once you have completed all the checklist items, your case will be reviewed by one of our Account Specialists. We will send you an email with the outcome of the review.
I am not sure what unusual charges they are talking about the only time I've used my card is to pay Royal Mail 66p for paypal postage.
This is just a standard paypal reply, I would not read too much into it. I got something similar when I got suspended but I didn't use my CC on Paypal, just for initial verfication 2 years prior.
What all steps have paypal asked from you? Is it just to confirm your CC or is it proof of ID etc? If it is just to confirm your CC i would go ahead, you have nothing to loose.
