i have been going so well with my 4th ebay/paypal accounts for 8 months...until monday they shut it all down without any reason again and it was all my own doing again i do believe.reason is i bought a usa tel number on skype with my own credit card which as my own name and address on it and i done it on my own pc but in a different user account but they must have linked the ip for my skype transaction with my ebay/paypal account ****ing **** ****s,,,they never linked it all that time wen sigining into skype but the transaction on skype must be it or am i well paranoid lol

Actually...not too far off a real possibility.

Ebay owns a controlling share in Skype. They link any and all info between the 2.

What else could it be? I never used a credit card on skype before and i had the skype messenger on my pc for ages,So i use one for the first time on a saturday and then by monday afternoon im banned on both sites...I would say that is most likely this is the reason why...its defiently not a "its a long-shot theory" ...too much of a coincidence not to be cos of ****ing skype

I thought i would pass this info on about skype...its ok to download skype onto your computer that you have your ebay/paypal on (ie same ip number etc) but DONT DARE BUY anything with a credit card on skype..because i tried it again when i was drunk as a skunk and bought a skype tel number under the same skype account i have always had and my paypal was on limitations within 48 hours.....The answer is if you do want to buy on skype...Make a brand new skype account with nothing linking skype with banned emails used with paypal and ebay ACCOUNTS cheers

It doesn't nessearily mean it's still not tracking eBay/Paypal activity at the moment.

eBay used to own Skype until recently

skype was owned by ebay til 09, I doubt it is still tracking, but to be on safe side, best to not load it on ebay computer.

As for name and address details, do not see how you get linked if you just make up the details, its normally free but even if you pay for extras, do it with vcc anyway....

Did I screw my account then?
I use skype on my phone, when the phone is connected to wifi.
so the phone (and skype) has the same ip address as my computer, where I have my stealth paypal.
The skype account has my real paypal because I was buying credit a long time ago.

ben I think you will be ok, as I said it was 09 when skype got sold....I doubt new owners would allow tracking in terms of IP, details and cookies, but its always possible and on this forum we are cautious...
