Default Reimbursement Payment Method

Hi all,

I have just searched this forum for “reimbursement” and I can’t see that anyone’s posted with this problem before. When I tried to sell on my (stealth) account that I’ve had for a couple of years I out of the blue got the notice below and can’t sell any more till I resolve the issue.

I tried making PayPal my reimbursement method but PayPal is asking me “add a card” before it’ll set up the arrangement.

Has anyone come across this before and if so have they managed to add an Entropay card to PP for this purpose? I’m just nervous as to why this has happened ( I have another stealth account which I can sell on as normal) and reluctant to inadvertently do anything that will get me limited.

Cheers in advance!

The offending message:

Please place a reimbursement payment method on file
We're glad that you're selling on eBay. To continue listing, you must have a payment method (credit card, or PayPal account) on file with us to pay amounts you owe under the eBay Buyer Protection Policy (referred to here as "Reimbursement Payment Method"). In most cases, it's the same payment method that you use to pay your eBay seller fees.
The eBay Buyer Protection Policy ("Policy") helps buyers if they have a problem with a purchase. If a seller does not resolve the buyer's problem and the Policy applies, eBay will arrange a refund for the buyer (the amount of the refund is determined in accordance with the Policy). In cases where eBay directly refunds the buyer, a Reimbursement Payment Method allows eBay to charge your payment method for the amount refunded.
You, in the capacity of a seller, authorise us to collect variable amounts (representing the refund eBay paid to the buyer) from the payment method you select on the next page. By selecting a payment method on the next page, you acknowledge and agree that your authorisation will be made on an automatic basis and on various dates as and when refunds are made to buyers under the Policy.
Confirm Reimbursement Payment Method.

Is your goal to reimburse to your credit card? I am wondering because UK is always bank I had read from other posts.

I wanted to set up PayPal as my reimbursement method - indeed this is the default method that eBay suggests. But when I try to, PP prompts me for a card. When I try to use the debit card that is already attached to the PP account, it won't accept it. Hope that makes sense?

And I still don't get why one of my stealth accounts is asking for a reimbursement method while the other one isn't...
