I'm convinced of that as well, many times my stuff has been opened and stuff taken, but still passed through

Customs could release them or there's already someone walking around wearing one of your shirts. :juggle:

What should I expect to happen?

Ive had a parcel stuck in DHL customs for over 3 weeks, eventually i got the right person on the phone who told me they needed invoices (which i made myself) so that they could clear the parcel through to me... if you leave it past 21 days they usually return it to the sender.

You cannot just keep checking the tracking number and because it says *awaiting clearance** then leave it, you actually have to call someone to locate where the damn thing is lol

after 5 working days you want to be calling to see if there is a problem

awaiting customs clearance normally takes about 24-48 hours then the parcel is released for local delivery

after 4-5 days you should contact the courier and say "wtf is the hold up mayn":noidea:

I would advise not to sign any correspondence you get from both the company involved in collaboration with Customs and Customs themselves. You will be admitting liability for the parcel.

Most of the letters will be sent via recorded delivery, avoid signing for them too.

At the end of the day... if you are importing prohibited items then eventually either you will get flagged or the senders address will get flagged and they will look in the parcel. Sometimes it is just luck of the draw.

If anyone needs advice regarding such situations PM' me and I can give you a few pointers.

My item came over a month after being in customs, the package had not been opened.

A happy result to end the thread
