sorry to hear this...

borrowed money from a friend? whats that about...we all know you have to add your own bank not a friends, if it comes from your bank, it is your money, doubt pp will fall for that one, even more likely to close it with that excuse..

my advice delete thread now, it is unlikely they will not look at name on credit...

craigle 05-18-2011 09:31 AM

my advice delete thread now and maybe they will not look in to this, if its in real-time.....
what does that mean??

friend was code..lol

i phoned pp again and they said i could cancel the direct debit which is what this was. It wasnt showing on my online banking earlier. But when i just checked there were 2 small deposits taken!

so i cancled the direct debit. Hopefully this will stop the £70 going over!

rsot 05-18-2011 09:37 AM

A lot of info is lacking on this and I wanted to comment but...all the best.

oompaloompa 05-18-2011 09:39 AM

what do you think I mean by 'they' will look at it

craigle 05-18-2011 09:46 AM

know so much?? they as in mods here?

u tell me!

stealthmaster 05-18-2011 05:42 PM

It looks like you've lost your money my friend take this into account as a loss and move on because I mean basically you don't have a case with PayPal or eBay. You didn't provide a tracking facility with the item you sent, there for I'd imagine all international tracking over eBay would be to fall within "PayPal" claims process. You must provide a valid tracking number which you don't have, that's another reason why your case is void with PayPal. The next time you think about dealing with someone overseas do your homework before sending the item, and you've been stung once and out of pocket I'd learn from this. Hope you resolve this situation.

hi

2 small deposits taken by whom - pp?

i cancelled a pp direct debit recently due to an untrustworthy seller. If you cancelled the direct debit in time (1-3 days after the transaction), you may have saved your money.

ps: note when refunding international buyers from pp; i have heard that the pp funds need to be in that currency or they ignore the available funds.

Hope you get things sorted.

If you can not supply tracking, paypal will 100% go in his favor. I was in the same situation, i sent first class via royal mail, for a 160 pound pspgo (stupid i know).

Buyer claimed he didn't get it, and i lost dispute.

If it helps, you can open a dispute with royal mail, and you are insured for up to 34 pound, so u can at least get that.

craigle 05-22-2011 03:14 AM

Thanks Shadow, will look into that :)

He "buyer" left me a nasty negative feedback. my one and only! restricted my selling now and finally sent me a message saying that the item has arrived, and wants to send it back and how am i going to pay for the postage for him to do this!!!

it never ends

oompaloompa 05-22-2011 07:29 AM

play along with it, without giving him anything, tell him to revise feedback and you will send him the postage, when he does, tell him you are checked out options and you are not obliged to as he has been refunded. He cannot do SNAD as he has already had money.

If he wants some upfront money to send it back? even though he has been refunded, well surely thats a scam move. I suggest you show this evidence email to paypal.

craigle 05-22-2011 08:18 AM

good advice! waiting for his reply

just wish i would get a human reply from ebay/paypal.

stealthmaster 05-23-2011 08:18 PM

eBay are useless when it comes to dealing with reply's it's all the same automated emails!.

Phone them then!

They are still not humans when you phone but it's the closest thing! eClones and Paydroids.

in the world of selling online and going by u.k laws if the buyer has been refunded or not it is actualy the sellers responsibility to collect or arrange to collect the item, most people in the genral public do not know this so stump up the return fee but in actual fact they don't have to.

not sure how that works for europe or internationally but my guess is you have even less of a leg to stand on

personally think you waist your breath with PP and eby and this person.

if the person was a genuine customer then i would ask them to send the item and once tracking is provided then you will give them the money but this guy will not do that, i think he knows you will not stump up the money for postage as you do not trust him, if you do stup up you will only lose that too.

Sad to say it but it's time to cut your losses and move on.

stealthmaster 05-25-2011 05:41 PM

You should forget about it now mate take it into account you didn't do your homework properly, learn from this valuable incident and take it as a loss and move on. No point in been beat down about a few quid, it has happened to a lot of eBay UK sellers trading over the Atlantic and so on. Hope you resolve this issue.

I am a bit lost here, this item was sent from the UK to the US?

Unless you have a business account with royal mail then there is no tracking to outside the UK, so you would have paid the extra for nothing.

Also this claim has been put through ebay not paypal?

If it is paypal they just put your account in the red, if it is ebay then they pay the buyer back and then get the money from you but I do not think that happens until the end of the month or added to your next possible invoice. Let us know if it is different?

I would add their details to here Bad Buyer List - online fraud buyer, ebay blacklist sharing with the full story.

Then get all your mates to send him an email saying I have added you to my block bidder list as you are a thieving twat, as stated here. It does not really do anything but, it does make you feel good that they think that website is being used by so many sellers.

I hope you have your other accounts set up as the black mark from that claim on your account is not like the DSR 1s and 2s that vanish after six months or so. The claims seem to hang around for ever.

I've sent things to the US with royal mail from the UK with tracking plenty of times?

isitworththestress 05-25-2011 06:49 PM

with a business account you can but with post office type royal mail you can't

If it is signed for it is not tracked

If it is the other one then it is tracked to the last sorting office and then basically goes out first class in the US system.

Try it next time you send something, take a look at the tracking number on the US system.

Royal Mail international tracking does not meet paypals or any credit cards standards and if the buyer wants to do clawback then you loose your money

ShadyOne 05-25-2011 06:52 PM

^ Yeah, same.

I know that Royal Mail Airsure offers online tracking on deliveries to the US.

isitworththestress 05-25-2011 07:14 PM

Try track any of the items you have sent Airsure on the UK and UK sites, and see what it says?

Plus you look at any payment methods terms it needs to be tracked to the person with a signature. So either way you risked your money

Royal mail tracking is no more than a scam

Stigger 05-25-2011 07:24 PM

As above, they are only usually tracked untill they reach the destination country after that they are in no mans land untill they reach the buyer and you get a signature

ShadyOne 05-25-2011 07:27 PM

^ What courier would you recommend for international signed delivery from the UK then?
