Could be time to stop buying 'naughty' stuff from China. I have one account that I have recently stocked from China. So far 14 parcels, 3 opened by customs, no problems.

I do know Irish and UK customs sometimes work together but I can't see them working together on Chinese stuff unless you are seriously illegal.

Maybe just bad luck?

thats a very good question, they keep asking for a credit card statement, even though i pay with paypal. so i send in the paypal receipt, and they wont except it.
very strange, maybe someone working their has an ebay account and is selling all the stuff he stops.

Why would customs want a credit card statement? What if you had paid by LC or bank transfer? Something doesn't sound right. Have you spoken to them?

Iv'e always used EMS from China and have never once had a problem with customs.

Iv'e Probably got over 30 large packages through customs with not one bit of hassle.

Almost every time I deal with branded items.

I live in Kilkenny so every item goes through portlaoise.

I really cant see how you could get so unlucky

Strange. Are you using the same name on each address no?

It would seem to me that customs saw what you were doing( i.e buying in branded items), and maybe kept an eye on all imports coming in addressed to your name.

Its the only explanation I can think of really!

either yours or your suppliers address can be blacklisted by UK / Irish border control.
This doesnt stop all packages from getting through but if they clock your address on their system when scanning it increases chances of being detained
