buyer open a case 2 weeks ago

hi,i sold an item about 3 weeks ago, after 1 week he open a "item not as described" case ,witch i responded to case and i agreed to give full refund when the item is back.

its been 2 weeks now he didn't respond to the case ,i tried to message him but he doesn't respond.

so i like to know how long this case will stay open???

is it good idea to sell on that account.????

JRYAN34 08-20-2011 02:39 PM

My recent dealing with paypal is whenever you call them the process always speeds up.

GREEN LION 08-20-2011 02:42 PM

just to add ,he gave me a negative feedback befor he open the case.

i checked hes, feedback left for other.and seems like he only knows how to leave negative feedback for people

KingRay 08-20-2011 05:07 PM

Thats a bad deal either way. I am not sure how low he has but I thought he had to respond within 7 days. maybe its longer now.

The problem with going through with the case and letting him send it back is that you get the claim counted against your seller status.

If you just refund him and "hope" he sends it back you dont have the claim against your record as ebay just closes is and says "thank you for working it out"..

The problem there is that ebay stops the requirement for tracking the package back to you. Once you close the claim they dont care anymore. BUT you dont get the claim against you.

Thats how the US works but just to be safe check it out on the claim pages. There is lots of info on there for this stuff.

Also just depends on how much you are talking about money wise if its worth taking the chance he will send it back.

GREEN LION 08-20-2011 05:22 PM

the item is only £18.00 .

i dont mind to refund him at all,its just that some people can get away with it so easy.

KingRay 08-20-2011 05:29 PM

I would just refund him and be nice and hope he returns it. If you let it go and paypal makes him send it back then its listed as a claim against you.

As long as you understand what I meant above. If not PM me and I will try to explain further. Dont mind at all.

I once had a competitor use some bogus EB account to give me negative feedback before I had even shipped the item, lol. I contacted EB rep. on chat and explained, the rep checked into it right there and saw that the negative feedback was bogus and removed it. I also sell at "Swapmeet" or "Flea Market" and the competitors are freaking worst, they'll flip you off, talk **** about you, snitch on you for nothing, it's extreme!

NightStalker 08-21-2011 08:46 AM

I think it will be about 41-45 day if its opened in pypl, proberly the same with eby, it's better for you if he does not respond as you will win the case

Melissa1971 08-21-2011 12:09 PM

It's either 7 or 10 days for sure

Just wait 3 more days...then close it or have it closed

GREEN LION 08-21-2011 12:44 PM

I already closed it.

and gave him a positive feedback like this:

SCAMER...BAD CUSTOMER...SELLER BE AWARE...SCAMER..BAD CUSTOMER..SELLER BE AWARE..

thank you guys.

Not good or clever GreenLion - you should know better than that - don't be surprised if that comes back and bites you on the b*m!!

GREEN LION 08-21-2011 12:59 PM

well he already did all he could.negative feedback, open a case against me,have my item and got hes money.

the feedback i left for him at least can alert other sellers to dont get in my situation

and i can see hes selling some stuff from time to time.so hes in my saved seller list.next thing he list i will buy it and will give him a BIG FAT negative feedback.

GrannyT 08-21-2011 01:16 PM

Be careful - good luck with it - I would say if you do that soon you could well be talking mutual feedback revision which would get you where you want to be

:pop2:

NightStalker 08-21-2011 01:17 PM

there is a good chance it will be removed if he/she complains.

There's also another good chance you will be banned he/she complains.

GREEN LION 08-21-2011 01:38 PM

of course im not buying it from the same account(when he list an item)

another benefit of having so many accounts.

its not because i lost £18.00, but its because some buyers they know about ebay policy's and the taking advantage of it.

he left negative feedback for he's last 7 transactions ,so i just want him to know how dose it feel when you get a negative feedback.

NightStalker 08-21-2011 02:25 PM

i was refuting to the comment you left on his feedback, not good imo.

Melissa1971 08-21-2011 02:40 PM

make sure you block him in buyer restrictions or he can buy from you again
