hi,i sold an item about 3 weeks ago, after 1 week he open a "item not as described" case ,witch i responded to case and i agreed to give full refund when the item is back.
its been 2 weeks now he didn't respond to the case ,i tried to message him but he doesn't respond.
so i like to know how long this case will stay open???
is it good idea to sell on that account.????
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
Thats a bad deal either way. I am not sure how low he has but I thought he had to respond within 7 days. maybe its longer now.
The problem with going through with the case and letting him send it back is that you get the claim counted against your seller status.
If you just refund him and "hope" he sends it back you dont have the claim against your record as ebay just closes is and says "thank you for working it out"..
The problem there is that ebay stops the requirement for tracking the package back to you. Once you close the claim they dont care anymore. BUT you dont get the claim against you.
Thats how the US works but just to be safe check it out on the claim pages. There is lots of info on there for this stuff.
Also just depends on how much you are talking about money wise if its worth taking the chance he will send it back.

I once had a competitor use some bogus EB account to give me negative feedback before I had even shipped the item, lol. I contacted EB rep. on chat and explained, the rep checked into it right there and saw that the negative feedback was bogus and removed it. I also sell at "Swapmeet" or "Flea Market" and the competitors are freaking worst, they'll flip you off, talk **** about you, snitch on you for nothing, it's extreme!
I think it will be about 41-45 day if its opened in pypl, proberly the same with eby, it's better for you if he does not respond as you will win the case
well he already did all he could.negative feedback, open a case against me,have my item and got hes money.
the feedback i left for him at least can alert other sellers to dont get in my situation
and i can see hes selling some stuff from time to time.so hes in my saved seller list.next thing he list i will buy it and will give him a BIG FAT negative feedback.
Be careful - good luck with it - I would say if you do that soon you could well be talking mutual feedback revision which would get you where you want to be
