Being asked to contact Customer Support
 

Hello all,

I have recently opened a new stealth eBay account and have listed about 20 second hand cheap DVDs (originals). Everything was going fine until I got the following prompt :

"Please confirm your identity

Contact Customer Support
Customer support agents are available from 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Call us at 0800-358-6552
Mention this security code:XXXXXXXXX
Click continue after talking to our agent."

I have been selling on eBay (using stealth accounts) for many years and have never come across this before. Does anybody know what they are going to ask me? I have a verified Paypal account linked to the account and I have been using a 3 dongle and a completely new windows user so can't see how they could have linked me.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Have all your data ready and fill yourself with confidence and give them a call, it might be nothing & if it is something, you would have all what you need to respond. It would be a good idea to look at your recent account activity, maybe the answer is there.

it may be a problem with the DVDs you have been selling or someone may have complained. Have you had any returns sent to a different address from your registered one? Also check your messages to see if you have given anything away ect.

I had one of these on a new account that i created

I just scrapped the account

spend an hour or two memorizing the info

two if the account is important,which i would say it is due to the verified pp

get as much info down as you can in BIG BOLD LETTERS in front of you
