Lloyds avoid avoid avoid!! it's a total hit and mid with name variations, some work, most don't. Their system recognizes when names ain't connected usually unless it's a very small variation were they may let you off.

LLoyds is GOOD. I have many accounts with them and have transferred thousands upon thousands through them with no problems. I go into the branch and do bits and bobs in there and everything is A ok. They are extremely handy if you know how to play them.

With Lloyds, you need to know what you are doing or a big fail will happen.

I get a phone call from lloyds fraud squad everytime i pay with my card through paypal as a guest , i pay for the identiy theft on my lloyds account and they have sent me letters of paypal trying to check my details and see if i was money laundering.

If you ever open a legit account use lloyds, my old paypal account went negative balance and i refused to pay them , they tried to take the money owed out my lloyds account and lloyds refused them and removed there direct debit and that paypal was in my name and address

Lloyd may let you set up a direct debit in a other name but you will have to contact them first and say so

After all it is actually good to use banks that dont let any random name open direct debits in your account without contacting them first

Silly question I know - but in view of all the information in this thread why would anyone bother with Lloyds TSB?

GT. i guess for some people there are very limited options and when they see a glimpse of hope even one person saying it worked for them, they hold to that desperately and hope it works for them as well.

I did many hours of research on this forum and I found 1 post that explained everything on how to work with Lloyds. As mentioned, I have many Lloyds accounts and all work well.

People are welcome to curse Lloyds, but already this bank has put over £5000 profit within a month in my accounts for me to spend on what I like. Much more £££ to come. Thank you Lloyds for being mellow about it all.

Please do not ask me for the simple solution as I myself have done the research and spent my time looking into this and I am not willing to 'spoon feed' which is a common phrase I have come across on this forum. When I first joined here, I needed help and no one helped me so I done big research and now I don't need anything from anyone.

If you have no experience with this please do not comment on how Lloyds is no good. They work. I have over 10 accounts with them and daily money dripping into them.
