Default Snow in the uk

I have a quite a few packages on it's way to be delivered. Is the snow gone to affect the delivery time?

Maybe i should let the buyers know. I hope it does not snow anymore.

It is everywhere, even Italy. I love snow though
buyers would understand if delivery time is affected, just give them heads up

Some places in the UK have really have heavy snow, it will 100% affect them places.

Usually what i do to be on the safe side i message the buyers waiting for goods, explaining due to the snow (weather) Royal mail delivery times may by possibly delayed.... you get the idea, keeps you on the safe and no negs xD i have a template somewhere which i use to send everyone.

sorry thought you was onnabout importing

yeah just if the roads are covered etc, everyone will be in same boat but i do think it is a good idea to send a courtesy message to all buyers,i think that shows you care too

buyers like & appreciate that 9 times outta 10

I know from my UK experiences with ebay the Brits do not care if the roads are closed and that they can not even get to work, they expect the parcel there next day after order and you will get marked down. The only decent thing ebay did the other year was to suspend the dsr on shipping time because of postal strikes during that period.

So I would message the clients and inform them there may be a delay beyound your control and please be understanding. Good communication always wins out in the end.

degsey69 speaks the truth. Two years ago Canada Post had this nasty postal strike - really hurt but communication was key.

Upload the tracking info onto PP and EB as fast as you possibly can. That gives the buyer comfort that you have done everything you can as a seller.

I have the recorded delivery stickers on my desk and sometimes, when I can't get to the post office the same day, I enter the delivery tracking details on EB and PP. That gives the buyer comfort that I have posted it that day. First thing next morning I go to post office and send it on it's way.

Not condoning laziness here - just sometimes, with four PCs and more stealth than a fighter jet...you can't always get out straight away. :thud:
