Request Higher Selling Allowances?

Hi,:yar:

I have had my one Ebay account since September 2011.
I have been selling since then, I have 4.8 /5.0 star ratings except in shipping which is 4.6/5.0 star ratings.

My selling limits are 100/£3500 which i need to get increased, but when i click on
''request higher seller allowances'' it says this:
Thank you for your interest, We will let you know when it is more widely available.

Does this mean i am not eligible? I am FULLY verified with paypal as well.
It is also a business account.
Also what sort of questions do they ask when talking to them? Do they do any security checks on the account?
Will they want any documents since it is a business account?

I really would like to sell more on this account since i use the 100 items up very quickly :/

:pop2:

I was told by Ebay recently, in most cases you will have to actually call them to request higher limits. Im sure its because they want to know why you need more limits and what you want to sell. It unfortunately is a case by case scenario and also who happens to answer the phone when you call Ebay.

GreenBean 02-17-2012 09:40 PM

There's part of the problem.

Sometimes it is better to not call ebay. Has happened for US sellers they ave had limitations put on their accounts.

Such a choice would have to be carefully considered especially for US sellers.

Bunneh we're getting reports of some glitches with limits in the UK as of this week.

My best advice would be to hold back right at this moment.

btw what if anything are you doing about shipping? dont let that slide.:amen:

Do Not call Ebay and ask for anything,,Seems lioke whenever you ask for something,,they ask for more information to verify your ID,,,It has been my experience that your selling limits will increase automatically as time goes on as long as the account is "up to spec"

Bunneh, you are in the Ebay Stealth forums so you ought to know that if its not working for you with just one account - i.e, in this case you have limited selling allowance, then all you need to do is create another account and hey presto! You've doubled your selling limit! Open more accounts and your selling limits go up accordingly.

As a rule you really ought to be operating multiple accounts as everyone on this forum will tell you how they've fallen foul of eBay's trigger happy account suspension policy, and no matter how good a seller you might be or how much good feedback you have it can still happen to you.

You've obviously come to this forum for some reason or other so you ought to be prepared for this. So armed with your stealth account management knowledge you really dont have a selling limit as there is virtually no limit to how many accounts you could be running, but you really dont need that many, realistically 2-3 accounts at a time is usually plenty for most people.

be patient with what you are doing. calling ebay now is not a good option for you.

the fact that you still have limit put on your account means ebay still monitor your performance.

what you need to do now is let ebay know you are valuable to their business by selling some higher-value items gradually, i am sure your selling limits will increase automatically as time goes.

good luck,mate.

Lets say i have 2 or 3 ebay accounts linked to 1 paypal account. Can i simply use up the selling limits on each account each month an have all payments directed to the 1 paypal account?

Selling limit will be applied to all accounts i.e. if your allowance is 100 per month then that is the max over all 3 accounts.

Why would you link 3 e/b to 1 p/p :nono:

Can anyone help regards limits??

Hi, i recently went stealth and have been selling designer clothes, all genuine second hand stuff for friends. Ive just had this message today when i tried to list something:

Alert
You’ve reached your listing allowance and can’t list any more of this type of item in Clothing, Shoes and Accessories for the moment.

You can list up to 5 top fashion brands in each 30 consecutive day period. You may list an additional 5 top fashion brands in the next 30 day period. Learn more about listing allowances.

To talk to us about your selling goals and listing allowances, please call us between 9 am and 5 pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank holidays).

Does anyone know how long this will last or how i can get around it? I have noticed i can if i change the item title, ie: if i were selling some levis 501s i could list them as designer 501 jeans, but will this upset Ebay and land me in hot water?

if anyone could advise it'd be much appreciated.

Cheers

Only sellers registered as business have higher limits on listing top fashion brands. As a private seller that restriction will stay in place for the foreseeable future.

Changing the title will not help as you are required to list the brand in the item specifics section. If you try to circumvent these restrictions by changing title/spelling/category etc. may well result in temporary suspension for listing/policy breaches and repeated attempts would result in indefinite limitation.

You have to be patient and let the account 'mature' naturally these days. If you start pushing too hard e/b will push back and probably push you out all together.

The simple solution is multiple stealth accounts and spread the items across them, not regular linked accounts as the restriction limit would apply to all accounts

I know this sounds a bit backward now but if i want to start another stealth account how do i sort a new paypal account? i got my new one as i luckily had just changed address so just registered with that and a new bank account. If i open a separate one how do i add a new bank card and all the rest, do i need to find a new address somehow and open a new bank account with those details??

BEST ADVICE: Buy the guide, read it, read it again and make sure you fully understand all the principles it explains before doing anything.

Then search these pages for further advice and any clarification you might need.

Then meticulously plan everything you are going to do to set up new accounts and then review what you've planned and look for anything that will link you to any other accounts. If there is nothing that will link you then go ahead and set them up.

FAIL TO PLAN AND YOUR PLAN WILL FAIL

Good luck

That's correct.

Variables have changed.

You said in another thread your listings got pulled.

Dont be risking accounts like you propose.

Fings aint right with your ebay at this moment.:deadhorse:

Re-work that business plan

Not true. I have several pairs of EB each linked to a separate PP (2EB per PP each). The selling limit is 100 each (200 per 1 PP). You're either wrong or EB treats everyone individually!

Arshavin,
3EB linked to 1PP ???
You obviously haven't read the 'Bible' yet! Read it first, and then come back. You'll find out you know the answers of most questions asked here! Good luck

Think things have changed recently according to recent reports.

If your accounts are more established then that may be why you are able to have higher limits

rsot 03-02-2012 12:40 PM

Sometimes limits get lowered if you have too many eb accounts all linked - as a precautionary measure.

I was banned once on ebay.

In last December I opened another account. I was doing great!!!

I reached to my seller limit within a month. I rang ebay to request higher seller allowance. As my feedbacks were good as well no neg feedback at all.

Guess what happened they said you need to be atleast 3months old user. And the next morning paypal and ebay removed my account and left me with lots of customer calling me back of being vanished and hold on my money for 180 days giving me no reason.

SO, i suggest never call ebay for requested anything.
