Default Virtual Address Providers

Hi All,

Been a while since i been on the aspkin forums, job has been hetic so not had much time to sell too much on EB.

I was selling a bit on one account but past the £1900 limit now, im after setting up two more accounts but going to pay for virtual address provider, is this something any users have used before as im wondering if it is ok to use the address they give you for PP & EB?

ie: if they give you random address in their large property/unit like soho666 (obviously a bit more complexed) or just a choice of a few as i would imagine the few address's would of been used & failed by limitation department when trying to lift limits before?

Thanks in advance

yes i would imagine that even though the building has different room numbers that the postcode is the same and is likely to have been used before

Thanks, yes thats what i was thinking but surly you can't just get limited due to postcode as im sure many business accounts/users have same postcode on a large unit? maybe im mistaken? but i would like to be certain beforehand, sick of them fookers getting a hardon & stopping my perfectly normal selling habbits by a click of a button..

I did used to renovate flats for a landlord and could use a couple of them but tennants are strangers in my eyes and i don't trust strangers also they/previous tennant could of used pp before?

Hope most users don't use family/friend address as this something i wish to avoid, not that im selling vero but don't want to bring any friend of mine into the crazy fight with pp

Like above user i will wait untill any UK or virtual address user has submitted any input which would be great!

thanks for the advice though..

It's not so much the address in itself that might draw attention but more the type of address. I'm pretty sure e/b and p/p will know all the common virtual addresses throughout the country.

Lets face it they're not hard to find on a simple google search, are they?

You need to think outside the box when it comes to virtual addresses.

Yeah i'm sure e/b does know the main virtual provider addresses thats why i wouldn't really recommend it!

I'm pretty you can get away with virtual addresses, just make sure your provider is a small company or private even ( LESS CHANCE SOMEONE HAS ALREADY USED THEIR ADDRESS ON EBAY/ ALSO A MUCH LESS CHANCE OF E/B KNOWING ABOUT THE CERTAIN PROVIDER)

Going with a local virtual address is the way to go these days!!

A good tip i found out myself in finding them is to google map and type virtual address, and zoom in your local area good luck!

I have used "virtual" mail forwarding address in the past and have never had any issues, personally I don't think an address on it's own would kill any account, unless you have used it yourself in the past.

For example, I used a self storage address and the account got suspended after I tried to have items to delivered to my suspended home address listing it as a "gift" address but after a manual check they noticed, it went fine until a transaction with a gift card went wrong, the buyer used a different laptop to pay for it and PayPal started looking into it further.

I would like to consider going back to using that address right now considering I would have a different box number, well to be honest I don't think I would need to use the box number as the staff know me very well but it's the type of address that puts me off. You don't get many address that are like 2-4 and used on eBay do you?.

also these type of facilities are used by MANY MANY legitimate businesses and hundreds and thousands of ebayers

its a way to do thinngs these days, not everyone can afford a highly priced unit

this is why ebay/PP cant shut you down on the address alone unless there are other variables

No they can't shut you down on address alone but questionable addresses only draws attention to an account if and when there is a review and may cause them to dig deeper.

Not all local/private mailboxes are expensive. I have several that range from between £12 to £15 per month including the VAT.

Do your research and negotiate a deal.

TIP: The big boys won't negotiate on price.

I have found that an eb business acc, works best with a box...there are alot of reasons for this, particularly when it comes to verifications...

Thanks for the info guys!

Im after a rock solid address but i suppose im asking too much eh?
Will try small virtual address provider an see how it goes..
Will post the results back so others can benefit in a few weeks

So does everyone still use variation of an address as surly it just gets knocked back on lifting limits?

Cheers.

Whatever you do, DO NOT post details of which provider you used. This would almost certainly result in your new stealth address being used by several folk on here.

Good luck.
