im sorry can i send them back i bought the wrong size by mistake
i replied yes you can but you will need to pay the postage costs for the replacements both ways
hes then replied "im sorry ive just noticed it is broken, so im not responsible for the returns costs"

| GrannyT | 07-01-2012 08:12 AM | Wow tsmt - buyers liars? Surely not  |
| they_screwed_me_too | 07-01-2012 08:14 AM | sorry typo
i meant pillars (of the community) |
| GrannyT | 07-01-2012 08:41 AM | Of course they are. I have always found that buyers pay immediately, always leave positive feedback and 5* ratings and invariably come back and buy again.
But then maybe .....
:sleepy:
........I'm only dreaming! |

| cortex | 07-02-2012 09:17 AM | Welcome to eBay...almost every buyer on there is a 2-bob-knob.

NAD case coming now isnt there | The same type of guy as the one described in your opening post, eh? |
| they_screwed_me_too | 08-02-2012 01:28 PM | yes they are both of equal prickishness
im still on with the original guy i mentioned, he returned the item and strangely it didnt arrive back here :heh: |
| Elijah | 08-02-2012 01:30 PM | Lol. So you got the keep the cash didn't you? Or did he "return" it without opening a case? |
| they_screwed_me_too | 08-02-2012 01:32 PM | the dispute is still open
he sent them back with no tracking and they got lost in the post
an item returned that was broken by the buyer to get his own way is no good to me
so yeah screw him |
| diamonda | 08-02-2012 02:07 PM | ^^^ good on you, what an absolute twit. spelt with an 'a'. :D
reminds me of this member i came across the other day- noticed he had very low feedback 8 or 9, all positive but comments within the positive were all negative (obv left by the sellers who have no option but to try to warn other sellers through pos fb with neg comments). when i clicked on his username, 'feedback as a seller' = 0, he only buys, 'feedback left for others', what a surprise every one he had left was negative, stating "item did not arrive." to this day it is absolutely beyond me how a company as huge as eb can so BLATANTLY, and OBVIOUSLY ignore and worse actively give a green flag, to a member such as this who is simply getting free items delivered to his door. again and again. whilst all the time only ever able to incur pos fb himself. |
| oompaloompa | 08-03-2012 01:52 PM | had a few tracking signatures where a relatives name signs, and I think they did not give the item to the buyer, as the buyer is complaining in a genuine way....but that is not my problem, go tell Jeremy Kyle, I have the tracking.... |
When it comes to expensive packages ($100 and up) what I do is the following:
1. Ship the item(s) with signature + tracking.
2. I call the Post office that corresponds to the buyers town and call. I "Ask" the post office politely if they can hold the package at their location because it's an expensive item and I would like to have the buyer pick it up.
3. I notify the buyer that their package(s) is at the post office and they need to pick it up.
This forces the buyer to go to the post office and show ID to pick up the package.
I would say this process works about 95% of the time, also note that I've only tried this in the USA. |
| joeyr69 | 08-04-2012 05:05 AM | Having buyer problems myself.
I usualy send items none recorded due to the low value however I am now sending recorded due to the increased amount of ' Lost' items!
I cant believe people still try it on when they know full well they have signed for it! |
| baloch | 08-04-2012 06:24 AM | MM78 that is a true tactical defense right there lol. Buyers need the right kind of motivation to stop from being .... alot of examples of sellers getting buyers good in this forum. |

| cortex | 08-06-2012 04:58 PM | I had some idiot today screaming at me coz she never got her item.
The monkey didn't even put a door number on her ppal or ebay account. |
| Artann | 08-07-2012 03:34 PM | Oh NO, this can't be real! AZ and eB buyers are the best and always fair.
This being sad. I have a few that i would choke with my own hands but no i let them to drop their pains, turn around, band over and then i kiss them right into that brown spot! |

this is what they say
"because we'll only remove feedback in limited circumstances. If we got directly involved in Feedback disputes, our opinion would replace our members"
crock of S***

rather silly threatening bad feedback
some people could have lots of accounts and leave him many negatives and basically destroy his business if they were that way inclined

i ahte stroppy demanding clever abusive buyers | Ebay customer service is helping their customer, as they see it. We are just their dropshippers.
Was the loss worth the hassle? I keep finding the buyers seem to be getting cheaper and cheaper on ebay and will go on like this over items that are nothing. |
| moneyhustler88 | 11-13-2012 06:35 AM | Sadly this is the world of ebay, where you can't see the seller or the goods.
And the worst thing is that ebay always rule in favour of the buyer 99% of the time from my experience, I think really thats what has always put me off trading on ebay.
It's a real shame that someone's acted in that way towards you mate..But a measure of thought if they're UK buyers, why not photograph your items before dispatch and if they start coming up with excuses/lies like this then you have evidence.
A good friend of mine is a powerseller and came across the same problems for items he was selling from china..and he actually reported numerous sellers to the UK Police, who did actually take action. Shocking but true, I suppose really it depends on your local force. But it is classed as fraud in some cases..maybe photos would also help any ebay/paypal case, although I doubt it, but could put some buyers off trying a case
Also what MM78 said can be done through Royal Mail (keeping package at depot) |

Just been looking through my blocked bidder database after adding more to the list and noticed this comment I made about one from a few years back
"The rest of the world is made up of humans and then there are these monsters. Why are so many of them on ebay?" |
| moneyhustler88 | 11-15-2012 06:48 AM | Monsters hahaha |
| they_screwed_me_too | 12-06-2012 06:46 AM | right get this one
the mrs sold an item they sent a postal order (real legit account 100% FB and 400+ sales 4.9/5.0 dsrs all the way)
arrived in 48 hours
buyer emailed "its the wrong colour"
i got the number and called them
explained that the "white bits" was simply the white background showing through the gaps in the item
i offered to have some white bits added by a spray painter friend of mine, which they were over the moon about
my guy said it was impossible to paint them in
i called the buyer and explained
he said "thats great thank you for your help you are a great seller" ill keep the items if you would like to make a donation to a fundraising we are doing to pay for a party for a little boy (5 years old, supplied details of his name and address etc, i checked and its legit) who is dying with an incurable disease
sent a postal order with a donation for more than they paid for the item
they emailed thank you so much we will send you a dvd of his party
all good
got an email a week later, i want to send the item back for a full refund and promptly opened a case
