If you have had 4 cases then I wouldn't think your chances are that good.

Only e/b can tell if you are eligible for an increase.

There are no hard and fast rules anymore.

It is very much based on how you run the account, buyer feedback/dsr, opened cases and what you sell.

From what you have said I'd guess the chances of an increase this time around are fairly slim but as I said only e/b knows for sure

Ive been booted for 4 cases in the past on a low fb account sub 100.

Was going to say, my main stealth is 200+ feedback (100% positive), no open cases, been Top Rated for three months now but still stuck on the trusty old 100/£3500 limits. Had them ever since I opened the account as a business seller.

Wish there was some logic to know whether you're in line for increases or not!

I have an account 140 Positive, two cases (both closed) and two negatives and yesterday i got another negative from a guy 3 days after the sale when shipping is 10 working days and won't change the feedback till the item arrives

The ironic thing is the put a little power seller sign on me yesterday
I'll let you know when we the 20th what happend with mine.

Cases only count towards your performance if the buyer wins .
But i do have to question why you are letting things get to the point of claims over £1 .
I would try to look into the claimant is not a competitor firstly as im suprised someone would spend precious time claiming for £1 unless they have a motiv or you have upset them in a big way.
Either way negative feedback is not such a big deal and will mostly effect on future sales .
Claims ... well they will end your account .
If you come across a problem , sort it out .
Accounts are precious and you dont want to lose them over silly claims as its just not worth it.
NO CLAIMS = NO HASSLE its not rocket science .

Hi Bruce, that is not quite the case any more. My account was automatically put below standard by bots because I got 3 neutrals in one week. I called eBay and they said this was policy - this was on a 10 yr acct with over 3000 FB at 99%. So if you get a handful of bad FB in quick succession say goodbye to your trs and hello to eventual suspension.

I'm with you on that as I got two negative and one case opened all from the same person and that was enough to stop any more listing on that account until things improved.

i would actaully say the odds are good
in my experience to get the limit increaesed ecery time

this is what i do

sell the max amount of items youre allowed every month
have good feedback, redund buyers if needed
i get my limits increaesd every month as long as i sell the max im allowed to
even selling vero , never call ebay to increase limits either.

i dont think 4 cases is a big issue, its the reason why the cases are opened
also it matters if you win the case.

i have had accnts with 10 cases get increaes, but i win almost every case.

Actually you are allowed a count of three cases opened and closed in your favour anymore and they go against you, goes on a percentage of sales v's cases. Not all won cases ar void.

Secondly if the cases are open at the time of review then they will see it as a case against you until its closed.

I've had my limits raised every month since Feb, this buyer comes along and i can list nothing at all. I'm up for review on his particular account no the 27th and as nothing has happened since I should be able to list.

Only eBay can tell.

Call eBay and see if they can remove/close the cases.

Good Luck

im not sure about only 3 cases.
i have had accounts with maybe 10 where i win, and they always email that generic email. blah blah blah.... this case wont count againat yor account or be cpunted on your seller performance.

i have accounts woth 100 feedback and maybe 20 cases in 6 months that keep gettin increases.

only thing that seems to affect it is bad feedback

if i get feedback about vero or not as descrobed i get the boot.

almost every account i have has 10-20 cases with 100-200 feedback and the limits go up every 1-2 months

even crappy accounts
i just sell the max items per month and they always go up in 1-2 months
i never ever call ebay though , used to they dont do anyting
they always want dl, ss, buisness invpices faxed which leads to a ban.

sometimes i just faxed them my real id and real info and it passes i dont think they even look at it half the time.
or just get a real blurry photo on. bad digi camera.

I phoned ebay, i thought the review was 27th for this account it was the 22nd.

As the account has not had more than 400 sales in the past three months the review is taken on a 12 month period.

As the problem was November with the negative and the case then I have to wait 12 months for that to disappear from my performance. I can list again next December 2013!

... yes this is from the new improved ebay which is `kinder and gentler to sellers`. A 1 month suspension isnt enough - let`s whip these sellers into shape with a 12 month ban!!! That`ll learn yah. And dont let it happen again lest we take yer firstborn... arrrrgh!

I know I actually laughed when she told me, she then said I had outstanding fees of $185 and asked if i could pay when I can list again in 12 months time- she actually put the phone down on me!

thats how it works for me, just keep bouncing the max limit on your account should see limits rise pretty swiftly.
