| Callidus | 12-27-2012 08:24 AM | Barclays Saver All,
anyone had any experience with a Barclays Saver on PayPal?
If so, which saver was it that you used?
Thanks |
| Elijah | 12-27-2012 08:27 AM | I have used their everyday saver and both online account types that they have (can't remember what they are called specifically), and they all worked fine. So all Barclays savings accounts are good. |
| Callidus | 12-27-2012 10:50 AM | OK, moving onto currrent accounts with Barclays & HSBC... do they both require 'credit checks' because all the accounts I have searched for on both say they require it. However, I thought there must be a sought of account where its just an 'ID check' with these banks? |
| NoneOther | 12-27-2012 01:02 PM | All current accounts from any bank require a full credit check.
Basic accounts require only an ID and address verification check which if these details cannot be verified electronically then you need to take the appropriate documents in to a branch to complete the application. |
| Callidus | 12-27-2012 01:46 PM | NoneOther - I couldn't find an account on Barclays OR HSBC that is just a 'basic account' is there such a thing? |
| NoneOther | 12-27-2012 01:53 PM | Yes but you need to ask for them in branch normally. |
| Elijah | 12-27-2012 02:14 PM | For Barclays it's called the "Cash Card" account. Not sure about HSBC. |
| OzzyGucci03 | 12-27-2012 05:02 PM | use smile.co.uk |
| sokol3k | 12-31-2012 01:07 PM | yes you can apply for basic account online. just search it, use google or within bank website search engine. Usually they offer current accounts on front pages, because they want to sell it to you. Every bank offers Basic accounts, (usually called cash accounts) they dont require credit check from you. its easy to apply. I have done it with Halifax. 5 min and bank is ready :) Most important thing is to not confuse current account with cash account. You need to understand those products that Bank is offering to you. Read Terms and Condition etc. or do proper search on this forum |
| stealthpaulstealth | 12-31-2012 04:47 PM | i have used it sucessfully. havnt used it for a few months though.
regular barclays cc works fine as well. |
| Stigger | 01-08-2013 03:00 AM | ULSTERBANK
Step account. |
| bruceuk | 01-08-2013 07:13 AM | |
| levi6482 | 01-19-2013 06:10 AM | so ulsterbank & smile account accept deposits?? use as savers or normal accounts?? |
| Callidus | 02-05-2013 01:23 PM | Ive tried to send the deposits to an everyday saver but they havent appeared.
You say these work do they really? |
| Callidus | 02-05-2013 01:25 PM | CLYDESDALE BANK PLC - anyone with feedback on this? |

Readycash is a basic and can see no reason why it will not work.
have you rung for the application yet ? |
Re: Barclays Saver I suppose these Scottish banks have English branches in the bigger cities. Despite my profile flag, I haven't been there in ages.
I suppose you cant open savings accounts online without having an existing account. I'm overseas now and don't come back to UK.that often. |
| Stigger | 02-06-2013 04:26 AM | ULSTABANK Is in ireland and no branchs in the u.k, Don't let little details like that put you off. |
| NoneOther | 02-06-2013 04:33 AM | Ulsterbank is part of the RBS group so you can get help if needs be in most branches of RBS or Nat West.
As Tiz says, location of bank is a minor issue. |

They and Yorkshire Bank are owned by NAB Group Australia. |

Not a chance, my local branch in Dalkey and RBS is no help whats so ever in regards to banking issues for ulsta, they will give you the telephone number if you ask nicely and also offer you to open an account with themselves but thats about your lot. |
| NoneOther | 02-06-2013 10:19 AM | That's a result then, another new bank account. |
| Callidus | 02-06-2013 12:55 PM | Interesting guys.

I did this when opening a NatWest account. Nearest branch was 35 miles away. |

Ps: it is for my new stealth account | it cant be a proper debit/spending card then, savers usually do not issue debit cards anyway - otherwise would have 3 digits at back otherwise. |

Ps: it is for my new stealth account | If you are adding your own card details then it is not stealth anyway. Try entropay. |
| Sebecaa | 01-29-2016 12:17 PM | Re: Barclays Saver Oh my is entropay something like paypal?? Never heard about It and is It safe for my eBay stealth account?? If i am gonna register for enttopay do i have to use my real name and address?? Because well my eb and pp are stealth 😁😁😁 |
| oompaloompa | 01-29-2016 01:44 PM | Re: Barclays Saver for entropay, yes you sign up as you would with your bank and you can then generate handy visa cards.
or get a 3v voucher /card from a shop. |
| Sebecaa | 01-29-2016 02:11 PM | Re: Barclays Saver OK thanks but i have bank of scotland card which i can not use ( cause pp with this bank is already limited lol ) and then i have applied for bank of scotland saving account card( but there is no VCC) someone told me i can apply for this card but i dunno.. So what you think?? I am already registered on entropay but they Re asking for debit/credit card or for bank account.. I dunno what i should use.. |

Entropay is your friend.
