Default multiple sales on paypal

Hi,

I have set up my stealth accounts for over a year now and am currently selling one item per month on each. They are running fine without any issues to date.

I recently placed an item on sale and got lots of private messages asking to end the item early for a buy it now price...i ended up selling 4 of the same item to these people who paid via ppal (sent payment as a 'personal gift'). As far as Eby was aware i sold just one.

My only concern is - would ppal get nosey and start asking why i am getting payments in via personal gifts? Is there anything i should be aware of when doing this? I mean the payments are not linked in anyway to the eby item im selling as far as ppal are concerned but still a little wary.

Thanks for you inputs

Yes pp can get on to this - especially selling off eB...kind of a dangerous combination.

When people want to buy it, you should take it to e-mails and invoice them smartly.

Thanks for that. When you say "invoice them smartly"...at the moment i am givint them my ppal email add and asking them to make a payment as a ''personal gift'' so to avoid any connection to an item etc..is this "smart" enough? or do you recomment me sending invoices for payment?

Thanks

Send invoices for payment - personal gift is untrue.

business or peronal PP account ?

It matters.....
If it is personal account then sure you can recieve personal payment, too many and you will get limited, more so if you are getting it from business accounts as well as personal, you should be taking the money for GOODS.

Paypal do not like people to mix business and personal, unless it is a personal paying a business account, it can cause problems, another thing taking payments like this is that PP can limit if the find the person sending payment sussisious, not actually you yourself.

If it is business account it matters.....shortly after you set the account up, you will of been asked how you trade and where, such as ebay, website, other site and places, you should have selected a veritey of places not just ebay

My account is Personal. So i will stop taking 'personal gifts' as payment and invoice for something totally different and clean.

I list one item per month and sale price is around £100 - i would normally expect to get an additional 3/4 sales for which payment is via ppal. Hopefully this is small enough to be under the radar!!!???

It is not the amount of money that is important but the nature of the items being sold and the methods of payment used receiving money into the account.

p/p assess on risk and their analysis is not all about large volumes of sales and cash but also a sellers methodology.

If you deviate from their parameters then you can expect trouble
