Smile Easy way to add tracking numbers

Hi All

Is there a easy way to add tracking numbers to ebay .

I sold a lot of things over the weekend and it a hassle adding the tracking numbers today . Most of the day was wasted .

Is there a easier way to organise the tracking numbers so the process is quicker and i can spend my time on other things ,

Does buying your post from ebay automatically add the tracking number to the listing or do i still need to do it manually ,

Any help is appreciated as always

Thanks

yes ebay post tracking automatically when u print label from paypal or ebay. and paypal has a bulk shipping method were u can print a bunch at same time. but for me it was too confusing when selling alot of different items that were different colors and sizes. there was no way to know what went to what if all the labels printed out at once. actually i think u could leave a note/description for each item but then it would print an extra page for each item and waste a lot of labels.

If you only have one account then you can get an android phone and download the eBay app and then just select tracking and scan each label into the product.

I think if you are selling a lot of items and its taking you all day to upload the tracking numbers then I would suggest to not upload them unless there is a problem, if a you are selling quality items with speedy postage then the only time I upload a tracking number is if there is a problem then you can prove the item has been sent.

If you need to upload the tracking number to get your funds sooner then im afraid all day it is.

That is highly not advisable

Adding tracking as you go i.e. when the items are actually being sent rather than later goes a long way towards gaining e/b and p/p's trust.

From my own experience it has helped get selling limits raised a lot quicker and payment holds removed from p/p well before the account is 90 days old.

What if your items aren't big / expensive enough to be sent tracked delivery?

I only send first class

That's a decision you need to make based on your business model.

Personally I send everything tracked regardless of value.

After all it's not me that's paying for it but the customer.

It's their decision if they want to buy from you with the reassurance that their purchase is being sent efficiently and safely or be a cheapskate and save a few pennies.

My experience tells me that I do better on my accounts that offer only tracked shipping to those that only offer standard i.e. more sales and fewer instances of INR or SNAD

There's a lesson to be learned here

yup everything tracked regardless of value.

There is enough scammers out there, why give them an open invitation to have you over.

Off set the cost of tracking with a subtle price increase of the item.

Problem is the cost of my competition is a few pennies higher and for me to send tracked knocks my margin by another 15%!!!

People don't always buy the cheapest and covering your increase in costs can be offset in many ways, simple business maths.

Offset by buying in more bulk, yeah sure thats simple but when it comes to it you either put the price up with free tracking or charge a small fee for an additional service of P&P.

You would be surprised in what I am selling how many people do buy the cheapest

Buying in bulk is not the only way to reduce costs, read what I said before.

You have to look at the overall picture in business, it's too easy just to focus on trying to undercut the opposition.

Most businesses that take that route fail in the end because it doesn't work in the long term.

I use tracking numbers for all items as they have a average value of £30 so all items must be tracked . its just the time if im sending 40 to 50 parcels then adding the tracking numbers is not very quick .

Is there a programme that can be bought or i seen someone mention the android app . can it be done this way . does anyone use the app for this ?????

Easiest and best way in my opinion is to add the tracking info into Paypal as you're getting the address or printing a shipping label via there if that's how you do it. Adding tracking info into Paypal automatically uploads it into Ebay straight away also. No faster way to do it that I've found sadly.
