collectplus damage 2 parcels

collectplus admitted to damaging 2 parcels I sent out in secured plastic containers which contained whey protein and they wont pay for the damage so
who is to blame?
will ebay compensate the buyer out of all their vast profits?
or PayPal? or is it down to me for using a crappy delivery company?
I don't fancy taking a loss of £30 plus £3.99 for each parcel so what next? :hail:

They are trying you out.

They are liable for the damage.

This is one of their tricks. What they want you to do is go away.

Really? How is eBay or PayPal responsible for this?

eBay secured the sale for you and PayPal collected your payment. They have performed the services you paid for. :)

oompaloompa 04-20-2013 12:37 PM

no way ebay or paypal will compensate, if there is a case, it will be you that refunds then tries to claim from courier...

update us on how you get on with claiming for damage....

how did they admit to it, in writing upon delivery?

GTB 04-20-2013 01:13 PM

the delivery company is at fault, unless you did not pack them securely enough, did you ?

were the tubs loose in the plastic containers ?

eb ay & pay pal have no fault in this whatsoever

you need to refund the buyer and the delivery service need to compensate you

have they said why they wont compensate ?

stevebills 04-20-2013 08:05 PM

the whey was in a sealed plastic containers in a plastic bag you would have to throw it off a building to smash it
I have been told collectplus are stealing parcels
so maybe there not smashed and they keep them as they wont return them or compensate
so do i need to speak to their manager?

GreenBean 04-20-2013 08:11 PM

Nope, you already spoke to their customer service you said.

Speaking further will result in your getting the run around.

Have you your info from the previous conversation?

:juggle:

oompaloompa 04-21-2013 07:25 AM

did the tracking show as delivered?
did the customer say damaged? or was it the courier that said it?

GTB 04-21-2013 08:16 AM

whey protein tubs are heavy and usually come in flimsy plastic, the cheap ones do anyways

u should of stuffed any space with crunched up newspaper or foam or something to prevent any damage

its sad but you cannot rely on the courier, you should be able to but you cant

tracking said delivered but customer didn't get parcel
collectplus said it was damaged before it arrive sounds dodgy and even more so that they wont return damaged goods or compensate me and the customer he never received it:eek:

mite be worth mentioning trading standards at some point

get the name details of the person you speak to
