Default Help with UK Paypal Stealth Bank Account

Okay so a customer wanted to return an item as they found the size of a t-shirt I sold wasn't right.
I left £32.75 in my bank and the card I had was 3V Card so they couldn't charge that.

Today I got this message:

Dear xxxxxxx,

On 23 Apr 2013, we attempted to transfer 32.75 GBP from your bank account, ending in..... This transfer was returned by your bank on 29 Apr 2013 for the reason below:

The bank is disputing the Direct Debit Instruction (DDI).

As a result, this bank account has been removed from your PayPal account. Please contact your bank for more information or add a new bank account. Please do not contact PayPal because this is entirely an issue between the account holder and their bank.

Yours sincerely,

PayPal

So what can I do now?I take it that re-adding the account is not a good idea? I need this account as its for my business on eBay. I want to also refund the customer asap.

That account will now be burned and not usable with any other paypal.

To refund your buyer you can upload funds to a entropay virtual visa, then use that to fund your paypal.

The reason your bank account got rejected was probably because of the miss match in names.

Do a little search on this forum to see what bank accept DD in a miss match names.

I agree with jamesnorth101, probably the best thing to do, or sell another item and use that to refund the buyer.

In future it's probably a good idea to keep some money on your paypal account to refund buyer's.

Can you do a quick sale to get the fund positive? Or something else creative...

Really not much you can do at this point but get funds in it - for future, get a bigger CC to cover the returns - try to avoid use of bank.

too many glitches happening with paypal uk at the moment to think of that course of action.

Make an entropay account and add a funded vcc card to paypal to cover the balance. Or get another 3voucher. You want something that can work quickly.

If you are in the negative say £33, add £35 to clear the issue.

Then look at what to do with the bank account. What type of account was it and which bank?

Hi, I haven't tried and re-added the HSBC bank account add on it as im thinking wisely before i plan any move. I totally agree my first thought of method is to obviously reimburse paypal.

I have now however created a halifax saver, as the impression I gained from relevant knowledge using the search button as others outlined to do..was that halifax is safe for mis match names?

I before was using a hsbc savers, which oddly had no problem till this incident.

Not UK related but I will pop in an experience from 2009 when I had one account which I failed to take care of - just pulled up the records to look at and post. The CC was void so PP naturally dipped into my bank account. There were insufficient funds in the bank account. For ONE total transaction (5 payments altogether), paypal incredulously dipped into my bank 5 times instead of once...

There were 5 failures and the account went limited.
