I personally think the best wat to do it is to change the last two digits of the mac address to corrisponding eby n pp account.

it gives you a wider scope for each account.

Chaging it like that will give each account a new I.P Range.

when i used to change mac on talk talk i used to use tmac

Technitium MAC Address Changer v6 (FREEWARE)

if you need an example of what to do i can explain for you but its really quite simple.

Allways remeber to record i.p address in a text file or something.

the same ebay/paypal having the same i.p more than once is fine, however having the same i.p on different accounts is a no. no.

Thinking about it....I think talk talk has an option to swap beteween 2 i.p rangers or mac address in the user interface of the router.
i could be wrong though, i mess about with that many.

so changing the mac address automatically changes the ip address- will I be able to restore the original ip by changing the digits again or will I get a different ip to the original. Also, when you say "each account" are you talking about user accounts or the paypal accounts?

the easiest way for you to do it is to go to whatsmyip.com or IPBurger.com, note your IP address down, turn the router/modem off then back on again and recheck (you could also log into the router and disconnect, then reconnect). there's no real need for you to change the MAC address as EB/PP can't see it anyway, and it just brings confusion into it. you'll also end up having to check the IP address if you change your MAC address, so there's no real point.

You don't. Unless you want to keep trying to get it back, which could take months.

Changing the mac address has nothing to do with EBY or PP seeing it

Its not about that at all.

it is the best and most secure way....Full Stop.

Why

Well when you change the mac address it give you a whole NEW i.p Range for the said windows account you need it for.

SO if you have mac address

00.12.34.56.78 account 1

and change it to

00.12.34.56.79 account 2

00.12.34.56.80 account 3

you will have one mac address for each WINDOWS account you need.

This mean you dont even need to check, record, recheck, record and so on and although i still record everything theses no real need...habit i guess.

each mac will give you a FULL i.p range so you will never get the same i.p address on two accounts although you might get the same i.p on the same account (not a problem) as you have had it before you will NOT get it on one of the other mac address.

Also as for getting the same i.p back, sure its possible depending on provider and lease times

If you keep a note of your original MAC address, change it for a stealth account, and then re-enter the original MAC address sometime the lease will have not expired on the IP assigned to that MAC address, in which case you will get the original IP address back.

This is very dependent on the lease length, which is down to your ISP generally. If that method does not work then you will not be able to get your original IP address unless you use other methods which cause the IP to have not actually changed in the first place (VPN ect). But really it doesn't matter that much if your IP changes on your original account anyway, just make sure to keep a track of all your IP's

Method I use to track - http://www.aspkin.com/forums/multipl...-stealths.html

OP stated that he wants his original IP for an active real account.

Therefore he may have issues, no?

The point I was getting at was that it doesn't really matter if the IP changes on the original active real account.

But if OP tries the method of changing the MAC address and then going back to original MAC address he may be able to keep his original IP depending on lease. Other than that method there are other ways, but they are more complicated.

Very difficult to pull a specific IP - I would not worry about it for stealth purposes. Just make sure different IPs.

All this just really back up what i said but you wrote it way better than me.

To the O.P...Try going in to your router setting to extand the lease times, most allow you as do most providers in the u.k, there is a very good thread realated to this somewhere.

Can't see the point of why you need the original i.p all the time though ????

Maybe - just a speculation - OP thinks that keeping the original IP for his real account allows for more security. OP, this is not true - just make sure the IPs dont overlap on your other accounts.
