I read some previous threads about savers accounts not being safe to use as they get kicked back by paypal?

Can somebody give me some clarity on this?

Are barclays savers safe to use for long term accounts? or would it be better to try for another current account?

My Barclays current account is the one that has been banned so if i did need to get a new current account is there a way to get another fresh one with Barclays?

you can open another bank account with barclays easily. if i remember correcly, Elijah as about 5 with them. in my experience, savers accounts (with Halifax) will work, but i've nearly always had to phone PP up to get them to add the account number and sort code manually.

How about this..

I am moving home shortly in a few weeks.

Once i have moved, i am changing some new bank accounts to my new address.

Once i have done that, is it wise to use the new address strictly for a PP and EB buyers accounts and open those accounts in the new address?

@deebee80, brand new address - unlikely to have been used on eB...sounds like a good plan. Brand new bank is key as well

Also, regarding personal info on the new address, use REAL info or another name on that? I take it it may be risky using my real name.. ?

Use a VCC not the bank issued credit card which will show your real info

What real info does it show? Real name and and real address.. ?

Real address wont be an issue as the address would be changed on bank details by then. So the only other thing would be my real name.

Do not use the card issued by the bank ever. Entropay is better.

Go for a basic account instead of a savings account. Usually less hassles.

if you do use the card there is a good chance you will NOT have to hand over I.D when it comes to removing the 1900 limit beucase paypal now has whats called confirm location rather than have you send I.D in.

they use the card to confirm location.

as long as post code matches up it seems to pass.

So, there is a very good reason to try and use your CARD.

Yeah real name got banned.. but surely there are people with the same name out there.. how will they know?

Since you have the option of changing your real name a bit...why not? Best to keep any links to zero - manual review is the scary part

regardless of what name that PP and EBY account go in.

It is possible to use your card.

Becuase it will be registered to the NEW address making the post code the same as whats registered.

its the way to get an account without I.D, To me its a massive step forward.

i have created a few account in this very way over the last few weeks, just when i was about to spend money on getting id i can accross this.

So in short yes you will be able to use the card and probally save yourself some troble in the process.

Interesting.. so you have done this and used all your real info when you signed up for PP and EB? Name and address? or just the new addy?

i have used a slight veriations for names

and yes i have done 3 of these in the last monthish.

Likely just the new addy - you can vary the name...essence of stealth

I recently used a Halifax Easy Cash account with Paypal and it was hassle free, worked perfectly.

The above convo is about using bank cards on Paypal, not the account itself.

Just thought I would point out in case people attempt to add Easycash bank cards to Paypal.

Correct. It uses AVS - But still a lot easier to just use EntroPay.

EP does require address registration - it will automatically pass AVS checks

This is misleading.

The entropay account is registered in real details and at your real address. Once done, you do NOT change the address on entropay when adding new cards to paypal or ebay.

It you used a real life bank card you would have to change the bank registered address to the stealth address before you used the card details on PP.

Seems like a real pain IMO.

Entropay you don't have to do with with. Just generate a new VCC and you can enter it into PP.

You are right Ebayorbust - it does NOT require address registration - I swear I had written "not" but...apologies for the misleading info - it is a great service

the o.p says he's moving house in a few week, 2 months ago.

new bank account to that address with card, give it 24-48 hours.

Make said paypal accounts with slight veriation of first name and watch it pass 1900 limits without ID

I guess its down to personal choice, i think this way has its advantage.
