Default Chargeback - Unauthorised Payment

Hi,

I sold an item which was delivered and signed for by the same name on the paypal account and positive feedback was left for me. The next day after the confirmed delivery an unauthorised payment chargeback was initiated.

I have supplied paypal with the tracking number and uploaded the proof of signature from DHL as well as a link to show that the buyer left me positive feedback.

I was just wondering what the chance are of me winning this case and whether it would be covered by the Paypal seller protection as at the moment I have a negative Paypal balance and am without the product.

Also has anyone got any experience in how long it takes for Paypal to come to a decision on such cases?

Thank you in advance

Thank you for the speedy response, much appreciated. Good to know that they protect the sellers these days too

Just had one of these resolved this morning. They took 12 days to sorted it. So long as you have signed delivery to the confirmed address you are covered

Just checked the transaction details and the address was unconfirmed. Does this mean i am not covered by seller protection?

Thanks

PayPal is now covering you even unconfirmed address.
As long as you ship to provided address in payment, you are covered.

That's not as good to hear since the recommendation is to ship to verified pp only - sale was through eB?

It doesn't matter buyer account is verified or not. If in the payment details it says you are eligible for seller protection, then you should be covered.

Most times if the sellers protection was there on PayPal you are OK

But be prepared to stand your grounds

Yes sometimes rarely this happens, but no worries Paypal has a seller protection policy so as long as you provide proof of delivery and you have proof that the person signed for it, then the chargeback will go away in a couple of days. Also if the address is unconfirmed it doesn't matter, your Paypal account can be limited and you still will have seller protection.
