Sudden paypal restriction, was referred to "higher office" when I called ebay!
Hi guys,
I have been a new seller on ebay selling phone cases and other items for the past month or so and has been doing really well so far. So good I am on course to becoming a bronze powerseller (close to a silver!). Today, without any prior notice from ebay/paypal I found that paypal has limited transactions for a range of phone cases that might potentially have a copyright infringement issue.
I simply got this message:
"Based on your history as an eBay seller, we may temporarily hold the money from each of your eBay transactions in a pending balance. We may hold this money for up to 21 days from the date we let you know it is "OK to send" the relevant item. Other restrictions may apply."
The money from my other items were still coming through so I decided to call paypal to find out and was subsequently referred to ebay as ebay has somehow caused the paypal restriction.
I was then again referred to ebay's "higher office" as apparently they left a message saying that "in case the account holder call please refer to the "higher office". But I couldn't speak to them in the end as there were some connection problems.
Has anyone experience this? Is it a sign for more to come?
