Buyer opens case
 
Hi guys,

Wll keep it short and sharp basically a buyer bought an item took them 10 days to figure out it is not what they wanted and opened a case on eBay I agreed that they can return item however now they are saying they cannot return until 12th November.

My question is how long will ebay give them to return item as buyer is messing me about and having done a bit of a search can't seem to find a deadline as to when the item must be returned.

You could escalate the claim with eBay, if they give you the option to, and they will deal it with it appropriately and on time. Generally speaking, in such instances where a buyer is returning the item, eBay will give them time (usually 14 days or depending on your listing terms) to return the item. If you have not received the items within a given period you can escalate the claim and eBay will take it from there. They usually respond and close the case within 24-48 hours. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that, right now there is no option to escalate to eBay think I read in initial email from eBay that buyer can escalate on 2nd November so I'm assuming same for me also.

I would let them return the item on the 12th without escalating the claim, you risk getting a neg by doing that.

Just make sure that you only refund when the item is returned.
