| | | littlemissy | 09-12-2008 09:33 AM | Setting up new paypal and ebay account Hi, I need to set up a new ebay and paypal account after being wrongly suspended (I had over 500 positive feedback) and I have new credit card details but am just wondering if my name / address has to be the same as registered with my credit card. Can anybody help please? Thank you |
| mangler | 09-12-2008 09:45 AM | i have been told that this does not need to be the case.... any details that are the same as your old account will automatically be linked to your suspended account and the new account will suffer the same fate...... |
| littlemissy | 09-12-2008 10:47 AM | Hmmm thanks for that mangler. If I had a new credit card and new bank account with different address details do you think they would still link on name. I really can't see a way out |
| mangler | 09-12-2008 11:50 AM | im not too clued up yet....
but as far as i know, if the credit card details are different then your ok i.e i have been told i need to register a new bank account with a new paypal account and the same applies to ebay. i.e. nothing can be the same between ur new account / old suspended account.
there is another thread on here about getting linked which i started there might be some info on there you can use http://www.aspkin.com/forums/uk-ebay...ng-linked.html
should work!!! |
| Quasi_Mojo | 09-12-2008 12:56 PM | If you want a high-level overview of what you should do to correctly create new eBay/PP accounts, check this out. Read the whole thread and follow the links in the first post.
If you want more detail, I seriously recommend you purchase the eBay Stealth ebook. |
| mangler | 09-12-2008 01:27 PM | yes thats quasi.... thats exactly what i was looking for..... cheers mate |
| littlemissy | 09-15-2008 09:58 AM | Thanks for your replies :D, Mangler I've sent you a further message as I thought it was a little long for the thread. Sorry a bit new to all this.Cheers |
| digitaliz | 09-16-2008 05:56 AM | For credit cards the best thing to do is sign up with entropay, once you have been verified with them, you can use a single debit card to create as many virtual visa cards as you need and the name does not need to be the same as what you provide ebay, the only thing to remember is to sign up with entropay using your real details. |
| carillion72 | 09-16-2008 09:16 AM | setting up new paypal and ebay accounts. hi
i have set up dozens of accounts, very easy.
go to smile.co.uk online bank,open account,no id required,then add multiple accounts,no questions asked.#
then go to entropay.com,create virtual credit card, load up with a fiver, then sign upto ebay and paypal, name and address on the bank account dont matter, just the account number and sort code need to match.
it really is very easy.
hope this helps,thanks |

Can I use my old Paypal verified UK to link with New Ebay?
I guess I have to change my primary email for new one?
By the way How DO I link them?
I must say that I signe up as a female for Ebay account when my Paypal is me, a male. |
| Quasi_Mojo | 09-24-2008 05:28 PM | If your old Paypal was used with a previous (suspended) eBay account it would not be wise to use it with a new eBay account.
Your accounts will be linked and suspended.
The contact information on both the eBay and PP account have to match.
Read the ebook, don't wait for the movie. |
| ambercolour | 09-24-2008 06:04 PM | lol @ don't wait for the movie |
| GreenBean | 09-24-2008 06:07 PM | Let's go to Pinewood for auditions for the cast for this movie. God Forbid. |

should work!!! | As long as the credit card number is different Ebay can not get any details from the banks as to your name. Privacy laws stop this. I am an ex banker and the banks would face huge law suits if they gave out any info such as your name and address etc. All Ebay can see is the credit card number and expiry date you give them. |

hope this helps, thanks | I phoned Smile. They said that to open a current account they required two proofs of address (utility bills), plus either a passport or a photo driving license.
Maybe you already had a co-operative bank account (Smile is owned by the Co-op). |
| oompaloompa | 10-30-2008 12:18 PM | smile smile requires 2 ids, thats definite and forget ING |

| GreenBean | 10-30-2008 05:21 PM | Not in the UK. Must have verified paypal to sell. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 07:44 AM. | |
