ip and area

I got the guide last year and it has sorted me well and truly! a big thanks to aspkin

I have been wondering recently if I will run into problems by using an address outside the ip code area.

I am not the most technical of people, and my sales volumes are small. I reset ip by on/off on the router.

so what would the implications be if I set up an account say in Glasgow, but accessed/ ran the account from say a Cornwall ip address? would I run into problems there? any ways around this without more financial outlay?

Not an issue ever.

Overall if the IP is in the same country there are few problems.

Your main issue is to have your user accounts with cookies intact each time you use the account.

To set you mind at ease, I have accounts on Merseyside that show the IP near London.

Not had issues. In Australia, one ISP has been 700 miles from my actual location with out hassles.

You should be fine to go.

The UK doesn't have regional geocoding for IP addresses. Don't worry.

Depends on your ISP as to where it'll actually be located to, I had talktalk for a while in Glasgow and I was always pinpointed to Manchester because that's where they house their server farms.

In my experience UK wise IP isnt an issue.

As long as you have an IP located somewhere in the UK, it doesnt make a difference if your IP's for Nottingham and your account based in London.

If your trying to use a foreign IP however thats a whole other story!
